A traitor to my gender....

Apr 22, 2008 17:55

As I was rambling around LJ this morning, I found the following on someone else's journal, quoting something he read elsewhere online.

I wish he had linked because I think this person needs someone to laugh uproariously at her in public for this most outrageous of accusations... )

politics, rantishness

I'll vote for Hillary just on the off chance that later I might be able to hit that.

The higher up the food chain she goes, the less likely that is, Sweetie.

There is a sexless void inside the black hole that is the Beltway--the only nookie going on exists between 20 year old interns of either gender and rich old men.

Although, if it's Hillary in the Oval Office, you might get lucky if you wear a blue dress.

Payback's a bitch.

I guess if that's what trips her trigger. If she wants me to wear a blue dress and parade around the Ovula Office then I'm game.

It's a bunch better than what I'll ask her to do .... yes, it DOES involve swim fins !

Call me crazy, but I always believed that real equality meant that the person most suited for the job would actually get the job.

I've dealt with this kind of crap in the workplace--women who believe that unless their flaws were being accommodated in some way that they were being treated unfairly because they were women. And some who felt completely justified in treating the people around them with absolute virulence (including other women) because they have to "fight harder" to get ahead than men do...

Um, no.

I'm getting more and more terrified of Hillary, because what I'm seeing from her is exactly the kind of destructive vindictiveness that I've seen from women I work with, and the kind of mess that can make of a situation is just something that can't be expressed in words.

I'm sure someone will blast me for it but I'm of the belief that if women want equality, it should be equality. Not this half ass, we demand equality some times and then want special privileges other times because 'we're the weaker sex' nonsense. Maybe it's because I'm a programmer but you're either == or !=.

I'm still waiting for people to call her on her Bosnian bullshit. It wasn't a misstatement. "Putting Food on your Family is a misstatement". Hillary lied for political advantage and she didn't do it once, but three times over the years. After 7 years of that I would think we have had enough of that.

Edit: Oh and since I didn't mention it. Good on ya for voting with your brain. Too many people put their brain in a box to vote for some idiot they'd rather have a beer with last time. We don't need similar stuff now.

Sounds like the boob nazis on the child forums who tell you you're a horrible child abuser if you don't breast feed.

Morons the lot of them.

Incidentally, I won't be voting for Clinton at all. If she ends up being the Democratic candidate, I'll either be writing in Dodd or voting against McSame. I don't trust her. I don't like her lies, delusions and obfuscations. I don't like the way she runs her campaign and I don't think she'll get this country back on the right track. I also don't think it's a good idea to keep passing the Presidency around between 2-3 families for 30 years. I mean shit, what's next Jeb Bush in 2012?

None of those things has anything to do with her gender, race, creed or party.

Well said, my friend. Well said. There are ways people have criticised Senator Clinton that are nastily gendered, but that doesn't mean at all that if one doesn't vote for her it is necessarily for nastily gendered reasons.
