His/her own journal.

A pile of old newspapers with certain reports circled and mysterious notes as to their significance scribbled in the margins.

An old photo of someone posing with other people in clearly anachronistic dress.

Various jeweled cloak pins, brooches, and cravat pins, each with a setting for a fairly large gemstone, and a lens shaped gem (or several) of the correct size, with a set of wires leading to a device, which appears to be displaying holographic pictures of people and places from the past. Strange clockwork devices, oddball bits of old gears, circuitry and strangely ordered crystals containing spaceship sensor logs from the 30th century. Books made of plastic, with holograms that pop up when you turn the page, and books containing whole libraries of reading, that add the next volume in your series as soon as it's published. Data storage units disguised as 18th century inkwell and quill pen sets, smart chairs that adjust themselves for your comfort, with art nouveau or Frank Lloyd Wright styling...Etc., etc., as far as imagination can take you.

Lots of books in various forms, from past, present, and future, and music too.

Odd bits of gear. A workbench like nothing that anyone has ever before or since.

Pictures and photos of those met in the travels.

A whole set of Doctor Who, Highlander, Quantum Leap, The Time Tunnel and other related TV shows, and of course an autographed copy of The Time Machine (novel and film). And don't forget Somewhere in Time, the Back to the Future trilogy, and Time After Time. :)

And lots of clocks.

Some comfty chairs, maybe even a small sofa. A fireplace. A largish desk. And lots of shelves.
