Of course ...
A week before I'm supposed to leave, I come down with a cold. Felt kinda feverish on Tuesday, while sitting in the sun watching the kids play in the pool. Tuesday night I went to bed, shivered for about 10 minutes and changed into flannel pajamas. Its August and even with the AC on, do people really put on flannel jammies?? Skirts done... blouse to go
Yay!! I got the outer skirt finished tonight!! Yay!! She's happy with it.
The only snag, now she says the underskirt is too long. She wanted me to take off the bottom 3 layers. I said in no uncertain terms, "If I take it off, I'm not putting it back on1" She rethought things for about 2 seconds and realized I wasn't kidding!!

Sewing and Insomnia
The two make an interesting combo!! I thought I'd be done sewing by now, but Vicki nixed that idea last week when she showed me a steampunk inspired picture and looked at me with big blue eyes... "That's what I want!! Can you do that?" Yeah... sure.
So the last 3 or 4 or is it 1,000 nights, I've spent working on a stupid ruffled underskirt.

Insomnia...
I have it. It sucks. I get stuff in my head and it rolls around like a steel ball on a wood floor.
I think most of it is trip excitement. I always get this way when a big trip is coming up, and most of us know that D*C is a big trip! There's still so much I want to get done, and it seems like everything is going in slow motion. It will probably ( Read more... ) -
