It fucking snowed in Brisbane! Well it didn't, it hailed, but everyone's calling it snow because it kicked ass. The roads were covered inches deep in little hail balls, people were making snowmen and some people even went skiing and snowboarding around Paddington and Toowoong. Took me 2 hours to get home because the Countess St/Roma St

I think that was "Starship Troopers," from a few years ago. Absolutely *no* redeeming value, except as eye candy... The sort of movie that's no different whether you see it drunk or sober.

The best part is that Gold Class isn't just one theater. The two biggest chains in Australia (i.e. the two companies that own 98% of the theaters in the country between them) have Gold Class screens in most of their bigger multiplexes. It all started about 4-5 years ago i think. This is the first time i've been, but i gotta do it more often. Normally you pay $12 on-the-spot to see a movie, in this case it's $17-35 (depending on the screening time) in advance, but not having kids around and having comfortable chairs for my long legs is just fantastic!
