How does adderall affect you? I'd like to try it. I'm about to phone my doctor's office. :D

you want the good or the bad? there's a little of both. but the good is worth the bad.

i was the slightest bit jittery the first few days. it curbs your appetite a little, but i find it inconsistent with that (i probably have such a big appetite it just can't compete). it makes me yawn more, but that is probably not a universal effect...i just don't breathe very regularly in the first place, so i guess maybe it enhances that. it dehydrates you, so you'll get dry mouth a bit. just need to drink more water...but then that makes you pee a lot. but whatever.

but thank the gods it helps me concentrate. the only problem there is that you have to have enough self control to choose what you're concentrating on. otherwise you find yourself concentrating on meaningless tasks or tangent conversations, which really doesn't make you any more productive than when you were scatterbrained.

it effects different people differently. some people have more/less side effects. but if you actually have ADD/ADHD, then it's a lifesaver.

I am taking ritalin right now, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on me whatsoever anymore - like my body has just grown accustomed to it. At first, it made me more alert and woke me up (but also jittery) and I never really thought about the appetite, but I guess I did lose weight when I started taking it and have kept it off.

Has your body developed a resistance to Adderol?

i took Ritalin for about 9 years..probably starting in about 5th or 6th grade. i did have to have the dose doubled about halfway through because i wasn't noticing any difference. when i went back to the doctor this spring, he said they don't typically prescribe that anymore, so it's odd that you're on it. i've only been on adderall for a few months now, so no resistance yet.
