First of all, just wanted to say thank you for everyone who responded to my last (a lil crazy) post. Everyone has those nights and it was just a shit weekend so I just really appreciate everyone's words. For those who can relate to my situation, I'm sorry that we have to go through that. For those who said kind words (that's everyone) you have my ( Read more... )

Yeah, that vid is really great. Watched it earlier today.

I'm sorry about what happened with your visit with your dad. Dads are really stupid sometimes. I have to remind myself of this a lot with my own dad, otherwise I just start to take stuff personally, when I shouldn't. Remember, it's HIS problem, not yours. :(

Yes, exactly. I know that we have our dad problems and it really is their fault. It isn't ours and sometimes I forget that. It's very easy to just take everything on the surface and it doesn't help that my mom immediately bashes him because she thinks that that's what I want to hear. :|

As much as I am really, really, REALLY disliking our governor right now, it seems like he's trying to get on everyone's good side and opposing the Yes on 8 decision.

Riggght?! I mean, if he can get on board, so can everyone else! I really respect the fact that he simply accepts the fact that denying human beings rights is wrong; end of story.

Yes. It's really incredible how he's against this and how he managed to endorse Bush during the last election. It really doesn't make too much sense other than Bush is in your party and that's who you have to support. The whole thing is ridiculous and the entire world thinks so. It's time for a change and hopefully this ban is going to get overturned.

Remember when I said I was going to comment on that post after I finished with mine? Yeah. Something sparkly happened. :( Lol, I literally still have it open in another window, but I'm a loser and never look at that window. Le sigh. You know I'm down with you, though, yes?

THAT video is frigging awesome. I've rewatched it several times and am considering sending it to my father (who is tolerant of the LGBT crowd over all but doesn't get why they're fighting so sigh), but at the same time, I don't think Keith Olbermann isn't exactly the guy good at convincing anyone who doesn't already agree with him to some degree anyway.

There is a pretty good number of Republicans who are against Prop 8, too, which is wild and awesome.

Oh, I so know all about the sparkly. It's pretty and shiny and it's difficult to resist! I keep posts for ages and ages and if that person doesn't think that I'm weird for commenting decades later, I comment, hee. But yes, I do totally know that so we good. We good.

Yes, you're definitely right about that. He isn't the right person to convince but his words should resonate with people. I don't really understand how people aren't understanding that this is a human rights issue. It seems so simple and yet it goes beyond, goes over people's heads.

Those Republicans need to say it loud and proud! Are you going to any of the protest sites this Saturday?

That is one of the nicer things about comments. You don't have to do it right then. Except it seems like there are some people who don't seem to respond if you don't reply immediately. That's way too much pressure!

I'm totally with you. It's a huge issue. You don't have to like them, but you do have to respect the all Christ-like and the like. Sigh. I didn't go to the protests today, though. The nearest one was just too far and out of the way of previously made plans. I can't wait to see how much of it made it into the news.
