I love wordpress for my professional self. It's wicked easy to update and change. LJ is good for my personal stuff because of the friends thing.

I totally heart wordpress's customization options, but you have to be pretty savvy to work them. I looked at it a year ago and couldn't make heads or tails of the process. Now I understand enough to monkey with it, which is nice.

I'm a doofus (yes, I understand you've met me and therefore this statement does not come as a surprise) so I had Frauke make my template and upload it. She also converted my website to wordpress and now it's ridiculously easy to update and fix. It was weird at first because I'd gotten used to html all the time but now I'd hate to go back!

Are you going to be doing an LJ feed?

I'm not sure. I'm either going to f-lock this journal all together or cross post and f-lock all other entries. Still working that one out...

Well since you aaaaaasked...

I'm wondering about mood icons. I'm not sure I even want to use them, but if I did, are there options besides smileys? I found smileys, but I really like my penguins over here. And uploading my own images for every mood--yeah no, I'm bitchy enough about having to transfer all my icons LOL.

I have to say though, you are totally right about the customization. I am amazed and happy happy happy. Still wish it had an easy filtering option...

What I usually do is check the Wordpress forums if there's already a plugin for it. Then if I need, I can tinker with that. Anywho, I remember seeing a plugin for icons and moods when I was searching for a way to integrate livejournal users to wordpress (I did find one way).

Here's the links:

Filtering like entries? Yeah, Wordpress isn't as dynamic about that, but there are options. People have to register to your blog, though.
