Tomorrow when the War Began trailer is now out! Okay, I knew the film was happening but now there's an actual trailer for it and I am SO excited. :D This was one of my all-time favourite book series as a teen and it's the one Yuletide request that I ALWAYS ask for, although it's not been filled as of yet. Hopefully the film coming out will generate ( Read more... )

Actually, I hadn't even heard of it! Looks great though, very excited. I asked the people in the same room as me (three people): none of them had heard of it but my classmate Anna got very excited! So am I.

From what I read on the blog where I first saw the news about the movie, I think the trailer just got wide-release previewing with Iron Man 2, so maybe you guys will be hearing more about in it the coming weeks. :)

I'm excited too! I hope it gets wide release and I can see it in the UK soon after it comes out in Australia/New Zealand. :)

I haven't been paying much attention to the media's response to the trailer, honestly, but my reaction has gone a little bit like:

Also, I really must reread the series before this comes out. I've been meaning to for a while, but I don't know where my books went. D: (How funny to think that for so long I refused to read them because the title made no grammatical sense.)

**cough* I own all the books but they're back in Canada, so this works for now. :D

And really, you didn't want to read them because the title is ungrammatical? Heh, but I bet you're glad you got over that hang-up. ;)

Ooh, thank you!

ahaha that's absolutely how it happened. When I was about 9 and 10 I was reading my way through pretty much everything John Marsden had ever written, and whenever I went out to buy a new one, Dad would be like, "why don't you get this one?" And every time I would flat out refuse because of the title. I think I only changed my mind about it when, in year 5, my class did this survey of our favourite books. And at least half my classmates put down Tomorrow When the War Began. Sooo I thought I should maybe check it out after all, lol. And I am very glad I did.

oh WOW!

i had no idea they were actually making this into a film. the 'Tomorrow' series is incredible - i rec it to everyone i know, and to every teenager who'll listen to me! this is so exciting!

love the picspam - thank you:) and yes, i think i like the look of the cast, esp that they have kept Homer as very greek!

any word on where this was filmed? i'm living right around the corner from John Marsden - well, about 30 minutes away, his school is in Mt Macedon, which is our neighbouring shire - so i was kind of hoping they'd film up this way...

I'm not from Australia (obviously :P) and haven't visited so I really have no idea of where the set locations are in relation from you but the main website has a list of therehere. Is it anywhere near you?
