I just told Mom about the mouse and the salad tongs, she was laughing her arse off. :)

Those pics are fantastic, Chris. She is such a stunning, glowing bride. Congratulations to her and her new husband. I wish them all the best!
And could Abby and Camille be more beautiful? I don't think so.
I'm definitely with you on the end of the year projects and concerts and sports, as well. I've been swamped at work between science projects, tests, Natalie's golf, Frankie's basketball, PJ's teeball and soccer... I'm tired talking about it! lol
I'm so sorry about the difficulties you're having with your mom and that whole situation. Hopefully, once everything is squared away, some sense of peace and normalcy will return. You're handling it so well, Chris. It's really admirable.
I love the whole mouse and tongs episode. Though it makes me think of Ratatouille for some reason. Haha. Ew.
As for the reading, I'm reading The Host right now and I'm enjoying it so far, but I definitely agree that it still reads like YA. I think she'll mature as she continues, what ( ... )

I didn't read that Hornby book based on your rec, I found it at a second hand book store and was excited because he is usually one of my favorite writers. I don't know, I think I have been switching subject matter in books so drastically that I have whiplash--Afghanistan, sci-fi, suicide pacts, murder mystery, it makes my head spin. I think I read his book right after the one on Afghanistan and the writing seemed trite and hollow after that. The subject matter was very interesting and the development of the characters was enjoyable, I don't know, it just didn't move me. And I usually love him as a writer.
Anyway, I have commented back with the second longest comment!
*hugs*

What would we do without sisters???? When Ashley got married, Kristin came and stayed with me (long after everyone left) the night before the wedding getting the damn room decorated... hanging dozens of sparkly butterflies from the ceiling, positioning trees, etc... we were there til 1am! And the night of the wedding, she (and my mom, bart and grandma) worked like dogs in the kitchen - because NONE the stupid relief society ladies who said they would help with serving showed up!
Chris, I LOVE hearing how you made being a flower girl so special for Abby. What a great mom : )
Getting your mom moved and settled will be a challenge, but life will start to feel like normal once you do.
I can't wait to hear your full review on Eat, Pray, Love....

Yes, Eat, Pray, Love really has been my favorite book I've read lately. And there were even more books I've read besides the ones I listed. It just held my attention from the first word, I really admire that woman's will to live, literally. She eats life up with a spoon, and makes amazing friends.
Good to hear from you, Allison!

LOL to the salad tongs.
I am making a list of books to read and will have to take your recommendations. I had no desire to read Eat Pray but I guess I'll have to give it a chance. Sounds like The Host is kind of what I expected. Her writing isn't great but I like her stories.
Can't wait to see you tomorrow!
