Yay voting! I wish I could. Ugh. I'll be able to vote in 2012?

You've lived in such cool/pretty places. I've lived, um... just outside of Boston?

this is, um, actually the first time i've voted in eight years. i'm pretty distrustful of electoral politics in general, and usually live in solidly blue states where my vote isn't crucial by any stretch of the imagination. but this year there were some statewide referendum questions and municipal races that i felt strongly about and wanted to vote on. (one of the people i voted for in the state rep race for my district hugged me when i told her i did so--*heart my neighborhood*)

yup, i've packed up so many apartments you'd think i'd be good at it by now. (some of these locations i lived in multiple places over the time period.)

I just realized both of my non-question statements in my previous comment ended in question marks. Yuck.

I'm doing a debate with my debate club about whether or not the electoral college system should be reformed (I'm pro-reform), so I've spent a lot of time thinking about it lately. But I just want to say that I've voted.

I've lived in three different houses my entire life. We moved once when I was a year old and once when I was 8, and neither was more than half a mile or so.

i will admit that even as cynical as i am about mainstream politics i did feel some satisfaction in filling in the little circle next to obama's name. it's the first time in my lifetime that i can say i was provided the opportunity of voting for something and not just against something else in terms of the presidency.

I'm so excited to be able to vote this year
What a time to be a first-time voter (turned 18 in July lol)
It's strange I have this real passion for arguing about politics I mean I hate arguing but I just feel like maybe if someone actually listens to my opinion it might make some sense.
My roommate and I even liberal-ed the crap out of our door for the "door decorating contest" (it was Halloween themed but we election decorated anyways.
My personal favorite is a "brand democrat" quote: "What happens in your bedroom stays in your bedroom. It's just none of our business"
I've moved a total of once in my life and it was like 500 feet from where i lived
Unless college counts haha.

Oh and you have lived in a lot of wicked interesting places :)

wow--that is really exiting to have this be your first election! the first time i voted was in a special statewide one question referendum about whether or not to repeal gay civil rights legislation. i obviously voted no, but it narrowly passed, making maine the first state to do so. it kinda made me hate my state for a while.

two of those places (vermont and wisconsin) were for college, although i stayed in plainfield year round pretty much the whole time, save for when i was in pr & wa.

oh wow boo Maine on that one (for a little while at least)

Haha so far I've gone a total of 25 minutes from my house for college
