We made an offer on Saturday. They made a counter-offer today. I think we are about to accept it.

Our very own house! I think my brain hurts. I'm so excited and so nervous. We're about to start hemorrhaging money now, or so I hear.

We used a realtor that came highly recommended from several of our friends. He was a grandfather-type, very sweet, and VERY knowledgeable about real estate. He was always honest with us, and would often steer us away from things that we later realized were a bad idea. If you can find a guy or girl like that, I really recommend it. He totally earned his commission.

Also, check the laws in Mass. Here, he has to tell us if he is also working for the people selling the house (because then he isn't really working for us anymore).
