Here’s a fic based on a prompt (well, okay, half a prompt) by aud_woman_in and dedicated to both her and my pal jlch, who believes After Hours was the real season 7 finale . This is my version of what the next stage of House and Cuddy’s relationship might have looked like in a magical world without Moving On.

I don't know how to react to this: it's well-written, characters are right, great stuff. But then I see "'And you’re not seeing anyone else?' Ruth said. 'Umm, no.'" and it all comes back: "Bombshells," and more importantly House getting married to the mail-order woman. So that didn't happen? Even "After Hours" I have trouble accepting as canon. Sigh. I guess this story does what TPTB do: ignore, rearrange however they see fit. Thank you though. Your stories are always great to read. Sorry I can't be just plain positive...
