Why?

BIG: I'm enjoying the Christian Science Monitor's take on this: only the rich will see Sunday's eclipse (as compared to last year's, seen by millions and millions). The people's eclipse it is not! Myself, I'd love to see all the astronomers descending (who, it turns out, could really be said to be among "the rich").

That other astronomical movie should be widely advertised as an antidote. I keep mentioning the fkn Mormon mumbo jumbo to people who've read some Twilight and they all look at me with like puzzled possum faces. Like 100% of them do that. It cracks me up.

I don't get it that people don't get it (the perniciousness of that bluebeard crap). I may just be over-sensitized by my atrociously misogynistic upbringing (even for Mormons), but I still don't understand why ppl (especially parents) aren't more alarmed.

We watched The Eclipse tonight. It's great. I jumped twice. Maybe I should've been expecting the crazy elements to intrude after your excellent description. Got me anyway.

Isn't that great? I'm normally horror-film-avoidant, so it was quite pleasant to find myself squealing. (Though I had to watch the wardrobe scene from behind my fingers.)

Let me know if it gives you nightmares!
