Being Human 4.1 and Bowls of Various Sorts

Feb 06, 2012 02:33

My day was made by early viewing of Puppy Bowl, complete with Kitty Halftime. Then, most surprisingly, it was just the four of us: me, my mom, my dad and my brother, watching the Super Bowl and stuff. No spouses, no family, no friends, just us four. Kind of nifty. We took a walk at one point and I counted "God Bless America" signs in the front yards ( Read more... )

I'm going to wait for the BBCA airing, that's how unenthused I am. I love Annie, but I didn't really sign up for the Annie-and-two-guys-who-aren't-Mitchell-and-George show, not to mention that I really liked the addition of Nina. (Wow, there can be more than one female lead, what a concept.) But the fact that you liked it gives me some hope that I'll make it past the first episode . . . I was already spoiled about Nina and George, although I didn't realize until last night that George doesn't last a bit longer.

I didn't sign up for two cast members that weren't in the original pilot, and I was pretty angry. BUT I ended up loving it anyway and trusting the writers to give me a good handful of excellent episodes (unlike the US version which is highly, highly unwatchable in so many ways ( ... )

I was not spoiled about George or Nina leaving - not intentionally, the news just seems to have passed me by somehow - so the end of the episode was a real kick in the guts on top of the terribly sad opening.

I'm not sure how I feel with only one of the main cast members remaining. The storyline they're setting up looks reasonably interesting. The other werewolf/vampire/ghost household is more intriguing than the baby-with-a-destiny, actually. On a storytelling level, I'm interested to see how it plays out. On a character level, I'm not so sure. Will watch next week, anyway.

I can only imagine how having both Nina AND George was a kick in the gut. OY.

I'm not sure how I feel either, but it's a short run and the show is usually solid, interesting and witty. So I'm going to give it the usual go.

I agree with your assessment of the other household being a lot more interesting than the big story arc -- typical isn't it? Give us characters, dammit!

I also very much enjoyed the Puppy Bowl, and the Kitty Halftime.

Also, I rescued a cat on Friday. Yay me.

I ran over to your journal hoping to read a story about the kitty but NO. Last post early January and yet... FARSCAPE. So that was good that I got to read that.

Still... kitty pics or it didn't happen.

PUPPY BOWL. They really should not have dumped so much confetti on the kitties, though. A few pieces would have been fine, but no... they kept dumping and the kittens basically froze in place, fearful and like WTF?! Better luck next year.

Hi Hi Hi.
