Yup, Darwin was Anglican, didja know? Before he went off sailing (on a ship which was not called the Beagle no matter what historical records say, says my friend Steve. Stephen Fry said it wasn't, therefore it isn't), his father wanted to him to become a clergyman. Kinda like James Joyce, only Darwin wasn't quite as weird or as boring. Or Catholic. Or Irish, for that matter.

I've tried, but I normally read on the bus and I don't get the bus - the journey isn't long enough to untangle my headphones anyway, let alone get out a book - and I hardly ever read before bed, but I'm trying to drag myself off the computer to do other things, so I'll try and get a bit further through it. It's always 6 o'clock before I realise I've been sitting on the pc all day anyway...
