Part 2 of my report on Saturday at Collectormania. Once again very pic-heavy and I'm happy for people to snurch the pics as long as you please don't remove the credit tag on them. Thanks.
Thank you for the detailed write-up -- I can't ever get to cons, so I just have to enjoy other people's vicarious experiences! (And you got to meet Craig and Chris, too! OMG, it's a little startling to see what they look like now. I can't believe it's been 20 years since they started filming the show.)
I love how the actors in real life are so laid-back and fun, and seem to appreciate interacting with the fans. It really enhances my enjoyment of the show to know they're not a bunch of jerks.
You're welcome. I write these things as a combination of an aide-memoire for myself and a detailed report for those who couldn't be there.. and I'm waffly and long-winded by nature so these things tend to end up detailed and looooong!
Craig and Chris were great fun - and it really was weird to realise when Craig said that it's been 20 years! (I remember watching the first episode when it first aired! *le sigh*)
That's one of the best things about these cons is seeing the actors having fun and enjoying themselves there too - and not just there to make money off the fans. It's definitely lovely to find out that they are nice people (cos there's nothing worse than finding out that an actor that you like is a jerk).
It was a lot of fun (though very tiring - I'm really struggling this week at work as I've effectively not had a weekend!). I try to remember as much detail as possible in these reports, for myself as much as anything! You forget so quickly what was said e.g. in the talks etc and I want to be able to remember. I'm really pleased with my pics too! :D
Oh it was. Exhausting.. but lots of fun! :D This was my third con (2nd autograph type con and I've been to 1 SGA con) and I'm getting rapidly addicted! :D
Thanks hon! :D It really was a great weekend and I'm pleased with my pics. Would have been nice to chat more with Jason but I've only my own self-consciousness to blame for that!
