Adorable. And poor Crane not knowing he didn't have to suffer through the pain after all. I love that it wasn't a matter of stoicism but that he honestly thought he would have to put up with the pain until he healed, because that's what he's used to *pets him*

I know the last thing you want is more fodder for the plot bunnies (mwhahahahahaha!) but I was pondering Crane having to get used to a modern day diet. He gives fast food or even just a TV dinner a try, and it doesn't go well. Or maybe Crane has to endure a very thorough medical exam and the doctor discovers some issue common in Crane's time but isn't common today, or keeps trying to give Crane vaccinations and Crane isn't having any of it. The whump possibilities are endless! :D

Oooh waaaaay ahead of you there! I've got at least 2 or 3 plot bunnies skipping around regarding Crane's complete lack of vaccinations, his immune system never having been exposed to modern day pathogens etc etc etc! :lol:

I love the concept of the differences in medical care between then and now. There's so much that can be done with it. In his day, the hospital was where you went to die and/or have limbs amputated without anaesthetic!

Yummy! And wonderful voices Ali, you really did get them bang on, I could hear this as if I were watching them on my screen.

And LOL -- painkillers. We need more moments like those on the show hehe.

I *love* this characters and want them to be real and believable in my fic.

I just looove the little "Ichabod vs modern life" moments in the show and it's a limitless source of fun - and whump! That's pretty much where the idea for this fic came from.
