We have survived the launch of the Project. It all went very very smooth. Too smooth. :D I feel relieved but at the same time .. strange

I never finished Carnivale because it made me a little crazy to watch. I have intense dislike for Nick Stahl, I don't think he's a good actor. I went into it with an open mind, ready for him to wow me, but he never did.
I also thought it was u n b e l i e v a b l y slow. I watched it with a buddy of mine in Chicago over IM and video players. Later in the season we thought a character showed up, and I said, "Wait, was that x?" His response: "Couldn't be, because that means something actually happened on this show."
That being said, I loved the production (I agree it's gorgeous, even the dirt is gorgeous) and I f'ing loved the supporting characters/actors. If it hadn't been Stahl I probably would've made it completely through, but when I heard it got canceled I didn't bother to watch the last few eps

I totally ganked Mr. Quick's copy of Highlander to see a 27-year-old Clancy Brown play the villain. I had Clancy Brown on the brain for days after this post.
EEEE! I finished the first season. It is a strange show - now we know that Stahl is a "good guy" and Brown is a "bad guy" but Brown is a much much stronger and more attractive character! All that bottle-up torture-ness!
Yay! Someone posting about Fringe. Apparently it is coming to Australian TV, and I couldn't figure out from the promos they were running if it was worth a look or not. With your seal of approval, I think I shall.
Take me right, I didn't really like "Fringe" that much, but I definitely will be watching it for the crazy professor's and his son's sake. I wish the lead lady could be more interesting. ** SIGH **
Well, we did not know each other back when Carnivale was airing. :) Or I would have mentioned it! It is frustrating, fascinating, and as you mentioned, visually gorgeous. I hope you enjoy it!
I didn't like Fringe...it just felt tired, nothing new or special. I WISH I liked it, I can't find much "real" TV to like these days.

I would be worried too! Has the rash went away? I hope she will get better soon :)
YAY for scuba diving! I've always wanted to try it. I've only tried a bit of snorkeling in high school.
