IT IS FINISHED

No more sections highlighted, nothing marked in bold or underlined, no fonts in a different color (usually hot pink, to make me aggravated at their hideousness and fix them), no big "FIX"-es marked...*

My novel, Footprints on Water, is finished ( Read more... )

Aw, cute! It feels like it isn't done yet, actually, like it'll never be done. And it feels like maybe a sequel will follow...Thanks!

Remember, real artists are never satisfied with their work. ;) You should take a break, I think, let some other people dissect it for you (*volunteers* -- your book even gets to take cuts in the "books Seq needs to read list!) and maybe come back to it then. And hooray, sequels!

That is the truth! And I would love any commentary you may offer--I definitely know there are places more work needs to be done! Unfortunately, there is no time to do any more major revisions before I "publish" it. In order to get my free copies, I have to do so by the end of this month (and a girl's gotta get her free stuff!). So by the time I get the proof copy to examine and nitpick, I don't think I'll have enough time to do any substantial rewriting, as I know I still could use. :(

But not bad for a first experience. I'll know better next time--get the rewrite finished MUCH faster! Anyway, I am grateful for the offer and the honor of taking cuts in the reading list! Even if my story is published, you can always offer commentary. It'll make me feel better personally to fix it up more, even if technically I can't change anything "officially."
