Edward stopped kicking his ball for a second and frowned. Did someone just knock on his door? Curious, he padded to the door and cracked it open suspiciously. If it was Al, well... he would just have to sock his little brother, yes he would.
He peered out the crack of the door and his eyes widened in surprise. "Sakura!" Edward shouted, pulling open the door and practically tackling Sakura in a huge glomp-hug. "I haven't seen you in FOREVER AN' EVER where have you been?!"
She tilted her head when the door cracked open, and followed the gap of space between the frame and the door itself down to one golden eye -- entirely lower to the ground than it usually was. She had started to laugh softly when Edward threw the door open and himself out it, and in her surprise, Sakura yelped and tumbled over backward to flop onto her rump in the hall.
Sitting wide-eyed with her hands on the floor behind her to keep her upright, Sakura finally managed the laugh that had tried to escape earlier.
"Hey there, you!" Shifting, she sat up and ran one hand through Edward's shortened hair. He was most definately a child like his brother had been, and it amused her so. She kept her hand on his head for a moment. "I had to go home, my friend graduated from her Photography School in Nagoya," she explained. "You've been pretty scarce yourself!"
Between the two of them, she could feel the cavities rotting her teeth out. God, Elrics made cute children
( ... )
Edward wrinkled his nose at her. "Graduated? Your friend must be olllllllllld." He stood up and frowned, crossing his arms. "I had t'go run errands," he said. "'Cause that bastard needs me around no matter what he says!"
He blinked suddenly, then tugged on Sakura's arm. "Come in come in! I forgot to show you~!"

But she was curious. She had to know if Edward was little just like his brother.
So here she was, knocking on the door when she was a zombie from lack of sleep. Oh well. She could sleep later.
