Boy, summer didn't waste any time in Chicagoland, did it?

Sunday was the first day of summer, and it was 97° by the time I got home yesterday.

(And 80° in my office, but that's another issue.)

Just be glad you're not in Austin right now. It's been almost 2 solid weeks at 100+ here. Today we'll be at a high of 102. I'm afraid of what July is going to be like!!!

True dat, I will trade any 0° day for two 100° days in a second. It just seems weird that after an unseasonably cool spring, we flipped a switch and suddenly it's like August up in here.

The swamplike humidity isn't much fun though...

yeah it rained a lot around here and now some spots outside have that nasty fishy smell :( But still. I have been pining for this since the end of september.

It sounds as though your air conditioning is insufficient to the space... glad you're liking the weather, I was finding it oppressive as hell, and it wasn't quite this hot last week. I was glad to be home where it's only 93. :P Speaking of Chicago, I'll be back in town probably around July 12; should I call you for hanging outness? I'd like to see ya...

It sure was -- it broke down on us around noon, so the temp started climbing thereafter. The HVAC guy finally made it out here about an hour ago and just finished his work, so hopefully we'll be back in the mid-70s in the office by the end of the day.

Speaking of Chicago, I'll be back in town probably around July 12; should I call you for hanging outness? I'd like to see ya...

That would be awesome! It's been way too long since we've hung out. :D
