Fashion Statement
Ray straightened his tie and knocked on the door of Fraser's apartment, all geared up for their date. The door opened and Ray felt his jaw drop with shock. “Benny, what are you wearing?”
Fraser looked down at himself. “I'm wearing a dress, Ray.”
“I can see that.” Ray certainly could. It was definitely a dress. “Why are you wearing a dress?”
“You told me you'd prefer it if I didn't wear my uniform on our date tonight.”
Ray had said that. He just hadn't expected this as the solution. “I didn't mean I wanted you in drag.”
“Well, I'm not in drag, Ray. I'm not wearing make up or a wig.”
Ray glanced at Fraser's feet. “Or high heels.”
Fraser looked at his feet. “No.”
“Who wears sneakers with a dress?”
“I do. My boots didn't really match.”
Ray was sceptical. “And sneakers do?”
“Well...”
“I didn't ask you to wear a dress.”
“It's not my uniform, Ray.”
“No, it's...” Ray wasn't sure what it was. “It's weird.”
“Do you think I should have chosen something shorter?”
Ray had a great view of Fraser's legs he had to admit. “No, I mean it shows off enough of your legs.”
“Thank you, Ray. What do you think of the colour?”
“Well, it's blue.”
“Does it go with my skin tone?”
“Yeah, it's a nice bright blue.” Ray found his eyes wandering. “And it...clings..around your...waist.”
“You like it, Ray?” Fraser twirled slightly, well it seemed to be a twirl to Ray.
“Yeah, I like it. Not that I, you know, think guys should wear women;s clothing.”
“There's nothing to suggest dresses should be exclusive clothing for women.”
“Yeah, I think you proved that,” Ray admitted. Benny did look very good.
“Shall we go?”
Ray walked into the apartment and kissed Fraser, using one hand to grip the dress. “I think we're staying in.”
“Do you want me to take the dress off?” Fraser asked.
Ray shook his head. “No, leave it on.”
“Yes, Ray.”
Although Ray did wonder what Fraser was wearing under the dress. He'd find out he decided but for now he had other things to occupy himself with.
