Weatherbug says it's on forty-some percent humidity. I don't believe them. I'm already short of breath and it's only 10:30.

So far I've driven David to school (we missed the bus), put a load of laundry in the dryer and another in the washer, fed and watered the chickens and gathered eggs, and loaded and run the dishwasher. Now I'm up in my lovely

There is cool of the morning, it's just really early in the morning. This morning it was only 58 degrees when I got up at 6. I contemplated going out and getting some yard work done before the heat hit. Breakfast won and by the time I finished breakfast and took the cat to the vet, it was already too warm for me to work outside.

The dew point is 65F, which is pretty nasty unless you're dressed for it and used to it. (The dew point is a better indicator of heat-unpleasantness than temp or RH. Anything over 60F is not good.)
