It's also interesting to contrast his 2003 statement:

"I hope that my Jewish or Islamic friends will pray for me if we happen to disagree on the question of whether or not Jesus is the Son of God. We are all still on the same team, after all, followers of the same Almighty Lord. May He forgive the disputes of His children with each other!"

With his 2015 statement:

"Meanwhile, the one and only person on the team with a clear religious identity is the Muslim girl. This is a religion which has, whether anyone admits it or not, declared war on the whole world, and has, whether anyone says so or not, adopted terrorism and stealth jihad as the main means to wage that war
