Cheesy horror toast?

So, remember that poll you all took a week or two ago, about what kind of show I would have in mid-July? Cheesy Horror Flicks beat out True Paranormal by one vote. Normally, this is when I'd declare a winner and start the process of adding the show to my roster. However, I have run into a slight problem ( Read more... )

If you need help with this show I can definitely help you. I have seen about a million and one horror movies, and tons of them were cheesy. I'll try calling you tomorrow.

I think my pal Ashley might do it...she seemed interested, I just need to go over details. but I definitely want you to call in! I'm bad at any horror movie past 1990.

I'm afraid I'm terrible at using the phone, and I imagine I'd be at work, anyways.

But at any rate, if you were to watch "Army of Darkness" beforehand, I'd say you'll do just fine. Isn't scary in the least, I mean--just fantastically wonderfully cheesy and funny and the like. Yus!

One of the things I like most about the Batman world, is how all the characters interact--especially the villains. And so maybe if you had a deal going where you pick two characters and how they play off one another and such, that'd be something. Obscure pairings, I mean, and not necessarily the obvious. Like maybe talk about Ivy and Joker, or Scarecrow and Two-Face. I don't know.

Even though Army of Darkness is wonderfully cheesy, it's not the cheap, direct-to-VHS, you'd never hear of it if you didn't scour the Mom and Pop video store and any DVD copies are either bootlegged or out of print I'm going for with this show. But it's a great movie.
"Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun!"
"All right you primitive screw-heads!"
"Gimme some sugar, baby."

...Scarecrow. :D

No, seriously, maybe you could do a spotlight on how the characters tend to change for the different media, different time periods, and whatnot?

That's a pretty good idea. Would take a lot of research on my part, but worth while. Hmmm...thank you...
