"You wouldn't ask me that if you did not think so yourself already," Suzaku said. Though he presented himself with an outer calm, he was pleasantly excited for the festival. It had been such a long time since he had the opportunity to participate in a Bon Matsuri. Back in the day, he would be told that when he became of age, perhaps he would find a pretty girl or two during such a festival. Such things never happened thanks to Britannia's invasion. He felt a little strange wearing a yukata once more in the open like this. Stranger still was the fact that Lelouch had made it for him. Perhaps things were better between them after all.

"We should see what is up ahead."

"You remember it fine enough. Even the left-over-right bit. And the yukata hangs just right," Suzaku said. He gave a experimental kick of his leg, nearly kicking the fabric far enough to be indecent and smiled. "I don't think even running's a problem. But I'll take it easy for now."

No sense in freaking Lelouch out right after he had done him such a nice favor.

Milo was arriving at the festival. He had heard others talking about it and had read it over his PCD so he had come to check it out. He had mentioned it to Trowa who had made him something that seemed vaguely festive to wear around his neck and over his shoulders. Milo already knew part of the reason for that was because people here might be thinking that there was a wolf who might wish to hurt people showing up. Just in case, he made sure that his PCD was visible over the "garment".

Milo wagged his tail looking around at everything that was set up. Hopefully this would be fun.

As Dearka walked around through the whole festival, he spotted something... which looked rather strange. An animal... with clothing? Well, not really, but he was pretty sure he recognized that certain someone. It had to be Milo. He waved slightly at him.

Milo spotted the person who waved to him. It was Dearka. Wagging his tail, he trotted over.

~Hello~ he called. ~How are you?~

"Hi Milo~!", he greeted the wolf with a wink. "I'm doing pretty fine."
Well, as fine as you can do when you remember the dead.
"How are you?"

Vincent had lingered on a roo not far from the little shrine that people had erected. He'd waited for a long time, until night had fallen and most of the people had gone on to the games and food stalls, leaving the little place with its flowers and its incense fumes floating in the air.

He melted out of the shadow and crouched infront of the altar. It looked so much like Wutai that it was uncanny, and his hand was shaking just slightly as he held it out to catch three incense sticks : One for his father, one for Lucrezia, one for Sephiroth.

The others did not weigh on his mind. necessary casualties, people who had attacked him, countless, nameless soldiers of Shinra or other orgnizations who had come to him as a means to their deaths ... they could be remembered, but honored was a bit much.

"If only you could die and find peace within the Lifestream ..." he whispered as he lit the third one on a candle. He stuck them in the litte pot containing sand in front of the altar and closed his eyes.

Rinoa supposed that this festival week would keep her mind from certain things that had been happening lately to her, but she had never expected that so many colors, sounds and people had made her feel strangely dizzy and she found herself on the need to find a place to be clear her head.

However she hadn’t expected to end here, she had to admit that the atmosphere was quiet but the scent of incense made it feel a bit off and she couldn’t help but feel so out of place by standing there, something inside told her that this was a place that deserved her outmost respect even if she didn’t knew much about it.

Looking around she saw a person kneeling in front of ---well if she could find a familiarity to it an altar and if it was indeed that she decided that it will be better if she waited for him to stop either praying or paying his respects to ask just where she was exactly.

"…or maybe I should just leave him alone." She said very, very softly meant only for herself and it was actually a good idea.

Unfortunately for Rinoa, not only was Vincent an ex-elite bodyguard, he was also a genetically enhanced experiment whose senses had nothing in common with humna perception, and he whirled around in one smooth movement, coming face to face with the girl.

"I'm done," he said softly.

And he really was. Those three were the only ones that weighed on his conscience.

He watched the girl with an impassive look on his face, trying to understand why she'd come in here, if she wanted to be alone, if he should leave.

When he suddenly whirled around he startled her quite a bit, her hand went to rest against her chest while she looked at him…wait a second, did he really had red eyes? And yes, he did and they were quite pretty…yeah only she will be the only person to think something like that right in those moments.

"Ohh…I’m sorry for bothering you, I kind of got lost." It was lame but it was the truth.

She looked at him for a few seconds feeling a bit uncomfortable at the sudden silence that had fell over them, was she bothering? And why did she felt like if they weren’t the only ones there?

On the edge of the crowd, looking in, Jotaro stood leaning against a wall and studying passerbys from under the shadow of his hat. There were more people in the festival than he'd have guessed, a lot of them in traditional dress. Maybe he could get a yukata further in, assuming traditional Japanese garb could accomodate his height. He'd never considered that before, that or any ancestors he might have, although his mother diligently lit her incense and said her prayers every year. And he knew all the stories ( ... )

Unohana was weaving her way in the crowd, greeting stall vendors happily and bringing refreshements and healing small scratches here and there. A few children were following her, small hands tugging on her purple kimono, masks askew on their head, and awe on their little faces as the shinigami summoned a few balls of ligt to dance around their heads.

She spotted the man becaus he was one of the few people not wearing a yukata, and he was standing still in the middle of the moving crowd. She moved towards him with assurance, a smile on her face as she bowed slightly.

"You look a bit lost, sir. maybe I could help you find your way ?"

"Eh?" His reverie interrupted, Jotaro glanced down, briefly surprised to find that the woman addressing him wasn't Murrue. He didn't think anyone was paying much attention to him, although come to think of it he did stick out. A lot. He should fix that.

She looked like she knew her way around, it couldn't hurt to ask. "Yes - do you know if I can find a yukata somewhere in here?" There were plenty of stalls, but at six-feet-six with the build to match, he didn't relish the thought of going through them looking for anything he won't look stupid in, and less, of dragging Murrue and the others along while he did. Nor did he feel, for once, like being his irreverent self. Not this first time.

Unohana nodded.

"I have some spare yukata at the clinic. People have been picking some all night, but I'm sure we can find one to fit you. I don't think there are many of your stature out there."

She held out her hand to show the way.

"If you'll follow me, I can show you what I have, and give you a quiet place to change. We can also keep yor clothes safe until you want them back."

Dearka had taken the yukatas for both him and Yzak from the clinic. He had also brought a fan for Yzak, since he had already his own at home. And he had asked Yzak out for this particular festival. Even though one of the main factors was that they would just enjoy themselves - he felt like he didn't do that in ages, he also wanted to remember his fallen comrades. Ironically, he had only found a few days ago a recording with Nicol's piano-pieces.

Dearka held also quite a bunch of flowers in one of his hands. He had promised Ginia some as a present for apologizing what happened between her and Yzak and some for Allelujah. Even though he doubted slightly that he would come, he just wanted to make sure.

Wearing a yukata borrowed from the clinic, Ginia walked through the festival, taking in all the sights and sounds. Even if it was a festival for the departed, it was certainly lively and bright, something she found to be very fitting and proper and a good way to honor those who had already passed on.

She paused a little, noticing someone she recognized. With a smile on her face, she walked over and gently tapped him on the shoulder, waving her hello to Dearka.

Dearka turned around as he felt a tapping on his shoulder. He mustered the woman which stood in front of him now and reconized her. She must be Ginia. He smiled at her and made a deep bow, before he stretched his one hand out to give her the flowers.

"It's nice to meet you for real, Ginia-san", he said softly.

At the bow, Ginia returned it with a small curtsy. It was funny; they'd been talking for awhile but this was the very time they met in person. But then, that was how things tended to go in this city. At the flowers, she gave a shy smile and took them, blushing a little.

Unfortunately, this filled up her free hand. Temporarily tucking them into her obi, she took out her PCD to type a small message out to him.

/Thank you for the flowers, Dearka, they're beautiful. And it's nice to meet you for real as well. How are you?/
