Lucifer wasn't in good shape. The various injuries he'd earned himself since coming to Adstringendum were building up fast, and his normal better-than-Wolverine metabolism could no longer heal them up. Jinx had helped by calling Raphael, after he'd fought Michael. Sonja had helped, donating her blood to his cause. But she was no Red Cross, and even ( Read more... )

This was insane. Allen knew that but this whole event he'd come to the aid of people that needed it. And this, here and now even if it killed him - would save more people than other in the bar. He entered the bar silently, with Timcampi fluttering after him in the silence. He didn't know if he could help. Within him was Neah the Fourteenth Noah with power that made the world quake when he laughed.

And a piece of God's power that he was bonded with on a level so deep he couldn't even describe it. Unevenly so. His shoes pushed dust and dirt aside as he made his way past the door and into the midst of the arch angel. Maybe it was symbolic that he'd came to him in a trench coat, button up shirt, vest, tie, and black pants. He wouldn't know. Instantly, at the battered sight of Lucifer he's crossing the room quickly, reaching out to press the wounds closed. "Lucifer!"

Lucifer straightened and held up a hand as if to reassure him, or greet him, or both. "I patched up the worst but as you can see," He grimaced. "This is more than a three Bandaid problem."

He eyed Timcampi, then Allen, and decided to stay leaning where he was. It had taken most his strength just to fly to the bar.

Yes, Lucifer looked terrible. He wasn't sure Nick could be saved with all of this going on. The further Allen walked down the road of being an Exorcist the further he was forced into corner after corner. But this time even as his scars started to ache and tighten like hot iron bands on his chest, the choice was his.

"What can I do to stop this." And he grabbed the key to the cage with one single statement. No one else would. And he sympathized with Lucifer more than he probably realized. It wasn't easy standing on a road that was 'destined' for you according to others. But, he couldn't condone would the devil did. But maybe, he could walk him off the chess board.

"Nothing." Baiting the hook even though he knows Allen's already on board. "Unless you can convince Sam to say yes, and my brothers not to kill me if he does." But he looked at Allen steadily, because of course there was one other way.

"But Rhode was more similar to me than any demon I've met here."
