Just outside the warehouse, Saul crouched in the snow and waited for the inevitable ( ... )

Sasuke had been first, but Saul was the second.

The building hadn't held him long. Once he'd dealt with the young Uchiha, Kyuubi exploded from the top of the warehouse, perching and looking out at the city that would soon taste his wrath. In his spot, he almost looked like an artistic masterpiece, beautiful and deadly as his tails swayed in the breeze.

Something caught his eye.

His head whipped downwards, hollow eyes focused on the figure in the snow.

...Kill the Konoha ninja and anyone that tries to attack you.

The man had something in his hands, and Kyuubi was very liberal in his interpretation of Madara's orders. Tightening his grip on the edge of the warehouse roof, he shot downwards and landed heavily in the snow, the ground cracking under his weight and power.

When they had referred to what was inside the boy Naruto as a demon, Saul had been ready to believe it. Why not? He'd seen his share of things in this city that defied comprehension, that demanded such a title by dint of being utterly beyond the normal world. And yet, he could never have expected the thing to look quite so much the part.

He took a step backwards, amazed. This was definitely not something he would bring down with hook and wire, skilled though he was, and he clipped them back to his belt without taking his eyes off the beast before him. He did not need any obscure mystical sense to feel the power that radiated off it, it was palatable, tangible. Instead of a fighting stance, he poised himself to dodge, mentally going over potential safe ground from which he could fight the thing with his true power, if need be.

"What a magnificent monster you are," he said softly, with sincere admiration.

Admiration was lost to Kyuubi. He didn't need the opinions of fools. Kyuubi was the Nine-Tailed Demon, the most powerful Bijuu that existed. He knew his place, and he knew that his reputation inspired fear. It didn't matter to him what other people thought of him. The mere swipe of his paw forced tsunamis and leveled the tallest mountains.

Saul's admiration meant nothing.

Though he didn't know what Saul was capable of, Kyuubi was not afraid. He had so many weapons at his disposal that it was just a matter of picking and choosing his favorite. For now, his tails spiked up straight into the air, rigid for a brief moment before curving over his body and pointing directly at Saul.

With yet another roar, all six tails launched at Kyuubi's foe, elongating with chakra and speeding towards him.

Sasuke was already on his was as soon as he could he could feel it. When he neared the warehouse, he stopped and stared in both fear and awe as the chakra from Kyuubi became visible, even. The walls weren't enough to contain the beast's roar.

He was too late. They had extracted Kyuubi.

He failed.

Sasuke gritted his teeth, fist clenching tight against the hilt of his sword.

"Naruto..." Hoping for the best, Sasuke pressed onward as much as he could. There wasn't anything he could do except continue to press on. He was scared, but he had taken on this mission without any hesitation.

Besides, Madara still had to pay.

As soon as Madara's orders were given, the beast exploded from his spot.

Walls could not hold him. He vaulted from the main room, barreling through a wall into a hallway. The ground cracked under his legs as he raced towards the exit. Chakra whipped around, tails fanning out behind him in an almost beautiful display, and then something caught his attention.

Stopping suddenly, his head lifted as if he was sniffing the air. In actuality, it was a chakra signature he felt, and it was familiar. It was like Madara's, only smaller. If they could see Kyuubi's true face, there would be a vicious sneer. As it was, only the emotionless, chakra covered face was all that was seen, skull covering it as well.

Through another wall...

And then he was there, standing a few yards away from the boy, tails swirling violently and chakra licking at the air. He stared for a long time, quiet and watching. The boy, the Uchiha.

He let out a deafening roar, a shockwave of chakra following the sound.

As soon as Kyuubi stood before him, Sasuke could no longer move. Crimson eyes widened in fear. He couldn't move. His legs suddenly felt like lead.

He only moved to defend himself against the burning chakra that passed him with just such an intensity he hadn't felt since his very first fight with Orochimaru. He could feel the pure energy burn his unprotected arms as they covered his face.

He really was in over his head. He probably wouldn't even be able to get away if he tried to. His legs were pinned by fear.

That smell was undeniably Uchiha in origin. This was the boy, Naruto's friend, the one who'd caused him so much pain back home. Though they'd recovered their friendship here, he was still haunting Naruto's dreams. Kyuubi knew. Kyuubi shared in those dreams.

And he was Uchiha, an enemy of Kyuubi.

The demon decided for himself that he should rid Naruto of the pain and rid himself of another set of eyes that could control him.

If only Sasuke could see the sick grin on his Kyuubi's face as he lifted his paw, claws gleaming viciously. He swiped violently downwards and diagonal, aiming for the boy.

Inside the warehouse just after the extraction thefirstuchiha March 6 2010, 23:24:39 UTC
His plans had succeeded. He had extracted the Kyuubi and now Adstringendum would fall before his power. This world would remember this day for years to come.

Madara walked with an air of confidence and arrogance that was a common trait of the Uchiha clan. All he needed now was to get the fox under his influence, then the world would be his and the Animus would be killed once and for all.

"Kyuubi," the Uchiha said with a commanding voice as his Sharingan spun widly. "I am the one who set you free from your prison! I am your master once more! You will obey every command I give to you with no hesitation."

The chakra coming from the beast excited him beyond all belief. This reminded him of his youth. The raw power this creature had at his disposal...it was all his.

That voice, those eyes.

The beast turned his head, watching as the arrogant fool made his way towards him. One of his front legs lifted quickly and he powered forward until he was in range. This would be his chance to get his revenge for being used so many times before. This was his chance to tear those eyes out.

But he stopped when he gazed into those swirling symbols.

Try as he might, he couldn't go through with it. The bastard had him once more. The arrogant fool and his eyes were at work, and Kyuubi couldn't go through with his revenge.

The hand lowered and touched the ground and the beast stared deep into those eyes, reflecting the hate of an entire clan. Kyuubi's own hate permeated the air with flaming chakra, but he was helpless to act on his hate.

And now he waited for his orders.

"Now, listen carefully. I want you to go out there," Madara said has he gestured to the exit of the building. "And I want you to kill the Konoha ninja and anyone who tries to attack you. Do whatever method you'd like, I don't care, I just want them taken care of."

Madara was only amused when the fox attempted to attack him, but was forced to stop and obey his commands. The Kyuubi was no match against his Sharingan.

"I'm sure you'll have fun out there, even if you are under my control."

Kill the Konoha ninja and anyone who tries to attack you.

What was his game this time? It was almost deja vue of the attack on that village so long ago. It almost sickened Kyuubi. Surely the Uchiha could have come up with a better plan in all his brooding days? No matter. Kyuubi could not disobey and he had his freedom. Maybe he would have a chance to break Madara's control.

Maybe Kit would release the seal completely and unleash Kyuubi's full power.

There was no Yellow Flash here to stop him this time.

Regarding Madara with as much disinterest as he could, he turned, tails swaying dangerously in the air. His legs tightened like coiled springs, and he launched himself through the nearest wall, intent on carrying out the Uchiha's orders and then maybe... just maybe... freeing himself forever.

Oh crap.

Shinobi-mode kicked in as soon as she sensed what was happening. She gathered what little kunai she had and took off for where she knew Naruto would be. She stopped suddenly, several meters away from the warehouse, horrified at what she could sense.

It was overpowering but Ino forced herself forward, kunai gripped tightly in her hand, though that was useless and she knew it. What could one kunai do to something so powerful? She refused to stand back, knowing that even if this chakra was powerful, this was Naruto. Naruto wouldn't hurt her... right?

She pressed on, slower than before, talking herself into not turning around and going home. There had to be other people on their way, right?

"Naruto!" She shouted, stopping again a few meters away from the entrance of the warehouse. She wasn't hiding her uncertainty and fear at all, because whatever was inside there - whether it was the Naruto she knew or something else entirely - knew that it was more powerful than anybody else in Adstring.

Kyuubi had dealt with each and every opponent that had been foolish enough to enter his territory up to this point. He had decided to branch out and take his wrath to the full extent of the city. Before he left, however, he felt yet another shinobi growing ever closer. The chakra was small, insignificant, and familiar.

Another one of Kit's friends.

The area was full of his chakra, so it was no wonder she didn't seem to know where to look. He had left the warehouse long ago, but was still in the general vicinity. Kyuubi watched from his perch, watched as she turned her back to him and looked at the entrance to the warehouse where he had been unleashed.

Launching into the air, he landed with a heavy thud, ground cracking underneath his weight and power. He was directly behind Ino, only a few yards away from her. His tails waved wildly in the air, and the poisonous chakra whipped around him.

There was no Naruto like she thought there might be.

That was definitely not what she had been expecting. Ino whirled around, frozen for a few moments in fear before remembering how her body worked. She she had gotten herself into this mess and now she had to get herself out of it.

She jumped to the side, knowing that her kunai could do nothing. The only thing she could think of was using Shintenshin no Jutsu, but then she'd be vulnerable for an attack if Akatsuki was in the area. Not to mention it was a slow-working attack and no way in hell would she have enough time to do it.

...It was the only shot she had, though. She jumped over behind a large pile of densely packed snow - weird, because it hadn't snowed in a while but hell, stranger things have happened - and stood up, her arms out as she did her jutsu.

"Shintenshin no Jutsu!"

Kyuubi would have laughed and mocked her if his emotionless chakra covered face would have allowed it. Her aim was true, but her attack would have no effect. At the moment it connected, power coursed through his body as a surge of chakra overflowed from the unending well deep inside him. A shockwave tore through the area, dispelling Ino's jutsu and cracking the ground.

And Kyuubi soon followed, launching himself at the young kunoichi with such speed that even the most trained eyes would have problem tracking.

Landing in front of Ino, he stared down at her with hollow, emotionless eyes. His tails curled in front of him, dangerously close to Ino before lengthening and rocketing around her before embedding in the ground all around, trapping her inside the shell of hot chakra.

Massive teeth ripped easily through the flesh of some unfortunate creature who thought it could make a quick meal out of the man living outside the wall. Bone crushed to nothing under the sheer power of those two jaws as they tore away mouthfuls and swallowed them whole. Heat was nearly done with his meal when a sudden pulse of power froze him where he stood.

Both heads lifted to the sky, a wash of blood spilling through his teeth to stain the snow as he turned back towards the city. It was powerful, but it didn't feel at all familiar, and it was growing. "What the hell?"

For a moment, he was just going to turn back and finish his meal. It was in the city. It didn't concern him. He didn't owe those people anything. Apparently it was in humanity's nature to fuck itself up, why should he bother trying to save them again. As he lifted the bloody stump back towards one of his mouths, the image of wide, innocent eyes looking up at him filled his mind, worried and pleading. Heat angrily snapped off another bite and shook his heads to ( ... )

Kyuubi had set about destroying as much of the warehouse as possible, testing the limits of his power here and trying to force more of himself out of the boy. The seal was holding, and he wasn't at his full strength, but he was still massively and insanely powerful.

A few had dared test him so far, and they had been dealt with. Now that he was ready, he'd looked to the center of the city. If they could see his face, they would have seen the sick, twisted grin of the sadistic demon. All that was shown on the outside was the emotionless face of chakra and bone, forever frozen in fury.

Gathering his chakra, he sent a pulse of energy out around him, cratering the area as he roared a ferocious challenge to the world.

After hunting down God, ripping his way tooth and claw through various so-called pantheons of deities to even get there, Heat felt he had little reason to be scared of anything. He had too much pride to allow himself to be defeated by something he considered lesser.

He also wasn't stupid. Being kicked between worlds had messed with him and he'd yet to discover the extent of how. At least it wasn't like last time, where he'd been overwritten to practically nothing. Heat felt the ground shake and braced himself for the shock wave as it fanned out from the creature pitching a fit. It blasted him back a bit, but he was up and running again, smirking.

Out of all his comrades, Heat was the one that had never denied the urges and direction of his atma. It was a reflection of his very soul, and it was stupid to try and deny who and what you really were. Agni was strong and powerful. He loved to dive heads first into battle and tear his enemies to shreds with his bare hands, to devour them while their hearts were still beating ( ... )
