Itachi had no idea there was a Hyuuga looking to pick a fight until the cries of his birds triggered all of the alarms in his head. He had been minding his own trying to find a way to recuperate wood he had lost to the snow and blizzard. Having Kisame here was a great help, he was able to handle getting all the moisture out of the pieced but the roofing of the building had collapsed. It was all so troublesome.

When Neji made his attack however, such trivial problems left his mind and he made a jutsu fast enough that made him dissolve into crows. he was gone from where he once stood and reappeared again on the rooftop. His summoned fowl were restless and confused, they rose into the air swarming in circles as if they were standing in a field of corpses. Their cries kept splitting the silence and their master eyed to young Hyuuga who had so recklessly attacked. A pair of red eyes were frowning, his voice cold.

"Recklessness will get you killed, Hyuuga."

His outstretched palm met the rush of cold air, and Neji's arm snapped back, falling into a habitual stance as he relocated his target on the roof. The cool, factual words did little to ease the younger man's rising ire, and only served to fuel it. Scorn, disapproval, he was tired of dealing with them.

The birds circling overhead, were they summons? 'No, that's impossible.' He reminded himself quickly, shifting slightly. If they weren't then even should they attack it wouldn't be a problem.

A number of retorts settled on his tongue, but clipping words, he chose not to grace the Uchiha with an answer (what did it matter anyway if he chose to risk his life?) and instead reappeared behind Itachi, prepared to strike again.

The sudden reappearance behind him wasn't lost on the Uchiha. It was only basic training after all: what disappeared before him and left no trace was more than likely waiting with an attack behind him. Itachi had all ready move, ducking forward as a clone materialized sending a counter strike in Neji's direction, a glint of annoyance across his face.

He assumed that asking the shinobi what the deal was or what had compelled him to attack was beyond the question. Itachi didn't have to use his sharingan to tell that he was lost in some unknown fury. Just as he had done with Naruto, he would play along.

Those who fought with rage in their fist's fell into exhaustion the fastest. The Uchiha just hoped this wasn't turning into a routine. He wasn't their punching back for stress relief, dammit.
