Trisha reached for the door handle and, after taking in a deep breath, opened the door with a soft creaking sound. Though she had just spoken to him moments ago, she still couldn't believe he was here. The tears that had just stopped came into her eyes again in full force as she leaped forward and wrapped her arms around her husband's strong chest, crying into his coat.
"H-Hohenheim...you're back! You're really back!"

"I am here, Trisha...."
And it was then the moment of leaving his family rushed into his head and all the aftermath effects of it. Edward losing his arm and leg and Alphonse his body, his soul merely trapped to his vintage armor and now seeing his wife who had succumb to illness and Hohenheim realizing just how terrible he really was as not only a father, but a husband, even if she did know he was doing it for her and the kids.
"I'm sorry, Trisha...I'm so sorry."
Yes, the tears were coming down the sides of his face now, splashing onto her shoulder as the hands around her gripped her just a little tighter, though not enough to cause any pain whatsoever.

She pulls back slightly, still in his arms, and places a hand on his cheek. She wipes away a few stay tears as she smiles up at him.
"I don't blame you for anything. You did what you thought was best. There's no reason for you to be sorry."
Trisha didn't blame him for anything. She knew that he wanted to become mortal in order to live out his life with her and she knew he did what he thought he had to.
She leaned up on her tip toes, due to the height difference, and placed a kiss on his lips.
"I love you so much."

Closing his eyes at her second comment, he gave off a small sigh, shaking his head as he gently rubbed her back in a comforting manner.
"I...just wish it didn't have to be that way. I didn't want to leave you and the kids alone, but..."
He cut himself off right there before he started rambling, not to mention he found her leaning up and placing a kiss on his lips, causing his cheeks to give off a small blush. He hadn't been kissed in a while; It felt nice.
Smiling he leaned down to place another kiss on her lips, a hand straying from her back to move to her own cheek, rubbing his thumb over it in a gentle caress.
"I won't leave you ever again, Trisha; I promise you.
I love you."
