{ general questions }
Name and age: Hallie, 17
What is your zodiac sign? Leo
Do you think it fits you? If not, which sign to you think is a better fit? Aggressive, passionate, a leader, arrogant-oh, yes, it fits very well.
Hobbies: Where should I begin? I suppose writing would be my main hobby; it’s hard to find a time when I’m not jotting things down in a notebook or writing things up on the computer. I also like sketching and animation. I play the piano, though more for recreation than anything else. I like going for walks in the rain, and baking. I’ve read through most of the libraries and bookstores in my general area. I’m also an intense daydreamer, which blends into my love of making up stories. When I’m feeling a certain way, I consider cleaning and organizing obsessively a hobby, as well.
Negative Points (at least six): If I feel overpowered in a situation, I tend to hang back in the sidelines instead of taking second place. I can be prideful at times-and by “times,” I mean a lot. I don’t deal very well with setbacks or failure. When people don’t agree with them, I tend to not want to deal with them. I compartmentalize a lot, and if I don’t feel passionate about something, I can’t force myself to do it. I’m cynical and a bit blunt, so I suppose I’m not as nice as people would like me to be. While I’m fairly social, I tend to block people out when I need alone time. I’m also quick to anger and have been known to have the occasional shouting-match. {competitive ; temperamental ; aggressive ; cynical ; controlling ; possessive ; arrogant ; closed-off ; secretive ; manipulative ; overbearing ; aloof ; calculating ; cunning ; ruthless ; forceful ; prideful ;}
Positive Points (at least six): I probably shouldn’t count this as a strength, per say, but I can be a very good liar. This isn’t to say I’m dishonest; rather, I just tend to trim the truth a bit when it’s convenient. I suppose that you could also say that I’m good at thinking on my feet-or that I have a lot of tact. I’m also a fairly eloquent speaker, and good at explaining things. I can remember anything after reading it or hearing it. I’d like to consider myself a decent writer. In addition, I tend to the person who remembers personal things-birthdays and important events. {intellectual ; eloquent ; discerning ; spirited ; persistent ; rational ; outgoing ; confident ; classy ; decisive ; authoritative ; friendly ; patient ; witty ; inquisitive ;}
Take this test. Which type did you get? Do you think it's correct? I got Independent Thinker. It says that I’m analytical, witty, self-confident, and above conflict. Confident, purposeful, but somewhat reserved/introverted-I think it fits quite well.

{ a little deeper }
Do you smoke or drink? What is your view on this things in general? Nope. Though I do have this weird fascination to drunken characters in books that I read. *cough*SydneyCarton*cough*
Do you speak any languages (other than english)? Yes; I’m fluent in Spanish, Urdu, and Arabic, as well.
Do you like cooking? I like it a lot, but I’m probably better at baking than at cooking itself. I’m probably the best at planning menus, though, and leaving the cooking to the cooks.
What is your nationality? I was born and raised in America, but my family is originally from Pakistan.
What was your favorite movie/book/series as a child? My favorite book was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I also really liked the Artemis Fowl series, A Series of Unfortunate Events, the Chronicles of Narnia, and this one obscure series called the Animal Ark books, which were all about different animal adventures.
What do you think inspires you Oh, all sorts of things. Beautiful lyrics or words, interesting stories, pretty music, nice artwork. On a personal level, I get very impassioned by political causes or human rights’ cases. I’m also motivated by my pride in myself-I’m competitive and like being known as “the best.” I’m motivated by my desire for freedom, independence, and superiority.
What would you prefer: hurting someone with the truth or telling them sweet lies? Telling them sweet lies. I don’t mind twisting the truth for the sake of the “greater good”-I don’t find that morally objectionable.
If you were an actress, would you shoot a somewhat sexual scene for the sake of your career? In the “real world”-never, since I have a very strict religious code. However, in an alternate reality where I was an actress, I probably would, if it was for a movie that was actually worthy of-an Oscar-winning, epic, meaningful movie, not just some rated-R trash used to make a few million.
Are you close to your family? Yes, probably more than I’d like! My sisters and I are very, very close, and we usually discuss everything as a family. My mom talks to me about everything, and though my dad is a bit less talkative in his house of four women, he’s always affectionate and there for us.
Are you a vegetarian? Nope, but I eat only kosher meat and no pork or ham.

{ are you... }
... modern or old-fashioned? Both? I’m modern in that I love technology, current events, and modern culture. I’m old-fashioned in some of my values, my love of history, and my fascination with period costumes.
... shy or outgoing? Outgoing but reserved.
... dreamy or not? I dream, but I don’t allow that to take away from my practical side.
... confident or modest? Confident.
... ambitious or laid-back? Ambitious.
... open or guarded? Guarded, but friendly.
... thinking or feeling? Thinking.
... dorky or classy? Classy.
... tomboy or girly? More feminine, not necessarily “girly.”
... fun or serious? Serious.
... rude or polite? Polite-but always thinking less-than-kind thoughts in annoying situations.

Can you describe your style? Usually I’m pretty simple-jeans and converse and a t-shirt and a cardigan. I always cover my arms and legs, too. I like looking cute without much effort, to be honest. However, when I do dress up, I go all out. I love looking my best and dressing in a classy, fancy style. I have a lot of black in my wardrobe, but always pair it with bold jewel tones. I love accessories and always wear earrings. I also have a sizeable collection of designer shoes and purses.
Please, post a couple of your favorite pictures. Can be anything: a Leonardo da Vinci art piece, a simple cupcake... use your imagination! (flickr and deviantart may be useful here)

What is your favorite color? Maroon! It’s dark and classy but still bold and confident. I also like gray-blue, turquoise, red, orange, jewel tones and pastels.
Who do you consider your role model? I really admire Eleanor of Aquitaine, Elizabeth I, and Anna of Byzantium. Strong, independently-minded women. Also, Madeline Albright, Winston Churchill, and Alexander the Great.
Pick three actresses out of the options. Can you relate to anyone of them? Why did you pick them? I think I have a bit in common with Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman, and Catherine Zeta Jones? I wouldn’t be a very good judge of that, though.
