Somewhat grotty tonight.
Will sleep soon, as I've taken pain medication that zonks me out.
All your messages are a fantastic support.
It is amazing, having C, R, F, S here, with S at weekends.
Plan is: X-rays tomorrow, chemo Wednesday & foll Tuesday. If I'm well enough, I might go home for a day or so from Sunday.

Update from R
Mum went into hospital yesterday unable to keep food down and feeling very uncomfortable. They gave her pain relief, antibiotics and checked for infection, which she doesn't seem to have. She is now on a drip, eating small amounts and feeling a bit better, although the drugs are making her quite drowsy ( Read more... ) -

First chemotherapy
Wasn't too bad. Overall, I came away feeling exhausted but better than I've felt for days because of the anti-nausea drugs ( Read more... ) -
Life changes
We had a great time in May, walking in the northern Flinders Ranges. First the second part of the Heysen extension, from Owiendana to Terrapinna Tors (although I didn't complete the last couple of days' walks): remote country, 4WD support vehicles, tents, 6 or 7 hours' walking each day. Sigh of relief
Yesterday I delivered my book files to the printer. I hope to see the proof copy in about a week, and 200 real books a few weeks later, in time for the bushwalking group get-together ( Read more... )
