... There's one involving camping and Sirius' motorbike and Sirius not wanting Remus to ride behind him (saying that Remus should be in the car with James and Peter) because he didn't want the others finding out, and I do remember that it was Peter who figured it out first...
That sounds awfully like the one I did for RS Small Gifts last year, but I don't think Peter found out first. There was a close call with him walking in on them, but not actually finding out. It did have James reacting badly in it though.
... Huh. Yeah. That's it. And then I mixed it up with something else I read somewhere else, which explains why I thought Peter had something to do with it. ^^;
It's easily done. I saw this original request this morning in my inbox and I am sure I do actually have a fic somewhere where Peter found out first or at least told them that he knew before James. I'm drawing a blank on which of my fics it is though.
In my story A Picture is Worth a Thousand Lies, Peter figured out that Remus is gay and is infatuated with Sirus when they were all still at Hogwarts. He uses this info to help frame Remus as the spy later.
Thank you! I loved this, you characterized them all really well.
I think that it was really interesting for Peter to later use that information to frame Remus. I think it's almost more realistic for Peter to notice and accept Remus' and/or Sirius' sexuality than James, because as a crack!fic I read once pointed out, James has "the sensitivity of a brick". I always assumed that Peter wouldn't make that big of a deal about it, though he might have had trouble accepting the whole werewolf thing at first, but werewolfs are actually dangerous to one's safety whereas homosexuality isn't.
Funnily enough, when I wrote my first RS/SB fic, Go Back to Being Friends, I went to great lengths to keep Peter in the dark about Remus and Sirius. Why? Because I thought if Peter had known about them, it would have come out in PoA.
Well, there's always Connection Concoction. Sirius and Remus are already together in this one, but it is told from Peter's point of view, and he does find out before James does.

But in A Picture is Worth a Thousand Lies, I needed Peter to be in the know-- so he was. Hey, I'm easy. I'll go either way. :D
