G: Yeah, that’s cause these are our pajamas...

D: So, normally, about how long does it take each of you to get dressed and put on makeup?
G: Usually somewhere between about 2 and 3 hours.
L: So in total it takes like 10 hours then!
G: Well we’ve never actually taken 10 hours to do our makeup…
L: So what’s the meaning of the band name?
G: Malice means spite, Mizer means tragic.
L: Wow, that’s a really intense name. It’s from French right?
G: yes.
Km: It’s because we are all born in France.
D: Monsieur… ummm… oaherpauhv paiug ejbcvalkjb. (an attempt to speak French)
L: And so today’s topic is…
D: Malice Mizer’s free time! The private time of a big artist.. it might be a private topic, but we would love it if you could tell us about your free time.
L: So do you guys speak French when you are together in your free time?
G: We don’t really do that so much. (something like practicing takes too much time, and they get home late, like around 8 every day. I think? I’ll revisit this if you want me to.)
Then they introduce the topic of showing rooms, and say that “each member took pictures of their rooms and stuff, thanks, let’s take a look”, etc. etc. First person up is gackt. And the interviewers are like wtf?
D&L: what’s this?
G: those are candles.
D&L: uhh…

G: I took that with a camera using the flash.

D: And you’ve got a wine cellar in the basement. Meanwhile there is a chick upstairs tied up being like “bring it up quick!!” and you’re like “WHIP!!”**

L: this room is kinda disturbing…..what…type of room is this??
D: Wow, looks like he’s like in a cult or something… uh… so what’s the theme of this room?
K: Opposite extremes.
L: The cat too?

K: Wow, you were really paying attention!

K: This one’s name is Zack. The other one is Lala.

Km: I really perfume. Like, I don’t have one scent. Instead, every day I wear a different scent to fit the feel of the day. I have about 70 bottles of perfume. Also, I really like the Japanese...
D: What do you like?
Km: Japanese “zengokubushou”. (military commanders)

Km: Heh... so I also really like “huurinka” (from a period in japan that I didn’t pick up... the huurinka would be that blue thing hanging in the back. I think he says he liked the way that the somebody lived, and he wants to be like them, but I can’t tell whether he’s talking about the commanders or not..)
D: So who is the French person that you admire the most?
Km: my mom.
D: Oh? What was her name?
Km: Izabelle.

G: Sadly…yes.
D: What do have you bought recently?
G: Hmm... what have I bought… most recently I think was the “abstacter”
L: How do you usually order? Magazines? Or do you watch tv and buy stuff that way.
G: As soon as I see it, I’m picking up the phone…

D: Ah, this is a picture of the bath. But, it’s really nicely decorated.
Y: On my days off, I don’t leave the house. I like to take a bath for like 8 hours, or like half of the day.
L: But doesn’t the water get cold?
Y: Well, I always keep adding a bit of hot water. Then it doesn’t get cold.
L: Woah, look at all of those! I wanna go over and visit!
D: These are all o-yu packets, like “kisatsu no yu” and…(these are packets of powder for making the bathwater different scents or like to make your skin soft, or to ease muscle pain. They feel really good!)
L: Those are those?? aren’t these those other ones, like the jello ones and stuff….
D: JELLO!?
L:Yeah, they’ve started making those recently, right?(to Yu~ki)
D: What is this, jello o-yu?
L: Yeah! You put it in the bath, and it makes the water all jiggly!
D: Your water gets JIGGLY?! WTF?
L: Yeah, it’s really cool!
L: Recently what is your favorite bath accessory? Oh, rubber duckies!
Y: So, like I said before, I like baths. But I also really like yellow. So with that in mind, a get a lot of rubber duckies.
L&D: Oh yeah, you must get all kinds; like the ones that squeak, and there are the ones that can swim too.
Y: I’ve got some of those swimming ones too. So I take baths and play around with them.
L: And that’s how you spend your 8 hour baths.
Y: Yep.
L: So on these days, where do you get food.
Y: Convenience store:
L: And what do you buy.
Y: Well first when I get into the store, I take a basket..
L: You carry the basket…
D: That’s cute.
Y: And the first thing I get is chocolate.
L: Oh. You must really like chocolate.
Y: I eat it like it’s my job.

Y: Yeah, I recently got into it, and I eat it a lot now.

Y: Well I usually eat around 5 packs a day…

L: so, we’ve seen pictures of all of the band member’s rooms and pets. But now let’s take a look at other big artists and how they spend their free time and compare and contrast.
L: The members of (Guiz??) do a lot of different things, like internet and computing. What about you guys?
G: We’re actually updating right now.
L: Luna Sea - Ruichi is a surfer . With his surfing friends, he like to ride surfboards. He can ride a surfboard?? Do you do marine sports?
G: I don’t do them- oceans are a no-go for me.
L: Are you afraid of water?
G: I fall apart.
D: Vocal (some guy) likes to fish. It seems that with musicians, fishing is really popular.
L: Do you guys do it do?
G: I go often with Kami.
(some talk about fishing. He tells a story about him and Kami fishing together. I got part of it, and I think that what happened was that they were spacing out, and the wind was strong, and they kind of drifted without noticing.)
D: (some other musician chick) likes driving. How about you guys?
G: oh, I like to drive, around Hakone and Rokko.
D: What do you drive?
G: Horses.
L: So you ride one horse?
G: no 20. For 20 horsepower.****
L: Mana, what type of car do you drive?
M: Makes some gesture that looks like a motorbike of some sort…
L: Uuh… can someone translate for us…
G: Roller-suru-gogo

L: He rides this during the lives.
D: Does this have a motor?
G: No, you do it by pushing, pushing pushing your foot.
D: This is like a skateboard with handles on it, isn’t it?

L: How did you get to ride this?
D: You got it as a present from someone right?
G: Yes, it’s been passed from generation to generation and he got it from his grandfather

D: Akko like to garden in her free time. She learned this from her mom. She also likes to cook. What about you guys?
G: Oh, I’m an Iron Chef. We cut things like thhiiiisss!

G: I’m good at making pasta.

Km: I like to make meat. And for desert- melon.
