It’s official now: I’ve been approved for the six-month tour for which I volunteered. I still don’t know much about it; I know where I’ll be, down to a fairly small geographical area, but not who I’ll be working with, what precisely I’ll be doing, what rules will apply and what privileges will accompany the duty. I expect the tour to be more interesting than exciting. All the same, I’m looking forward to it.

And I’ll say the White Knight Awards had some heavy competition this round! Finding myself up against the likes of lwbush, liz_marcs, nwhepcat, Litmouse, nemo_gravis … and, well, you … makes me wonder how I even managed to place. If I have to come in second, it’s nice to find myself second to quality authors.
