I did a little bit of research for context, and...remember how Rowan Mayfair is the heroine of the first Mayfair witches book, The Witching Hour? And she and her boyfriend, Michael Curry, also from the first book, are now Mona's legal guardians

Mona's backstory is deeply disturbing. And as usual with Anne Rice, there's the question "is it supposed to be?" It looks like it is, but because we're supposed to condemn Mona, not HER GUARDIAN. This isn't Mona getting a fake ID and picking up clueless dudes in bars. (Super rare, but it happens, and usually girls who do this go for stoned-out rock stars and such.) It's not even some gross adult who knows how old she is but has sex with her anyway. It's her guardian. She could be 25 and it would still be wrong. That she's 15 makes it plain evil

I think you'll get a bigger following on Dreamwidth (this last change was the absolute last straw for a lot of people on LJ), even if it's not as big as when LKH-watching was a much more popular sport. I'd hate for your old posts to be lost, they're fun to go back and re-read.

I just wanted to put a word in about the whole Michael Curry having sex with 13 year old Mona - if I remember correctly, they were both under a spell when it happened. Neither of them was themselves at the time.
