New York, New York. Again.

2011 has not been Taiki's year. Too much stress, too many directions. He's thinner and more reclusive than ever. Mexico was supposed to relax him but it only served to reinforced his resurrected mentality: "Developing relationships is kind of annoying. You always learn about incomprehensible and annoying traits."

With everything that had been going on recently it was nice to do something normal like picking up her friend from the airport. There was no time to rent a car so she took the subway with plans of taking a taxi cab back to the house, the drive really isn't that far but why make it twice? Plus it seems that the chances of getting possessed by a demon or evil spirit are twice as likely on the New York subway then in a New York cab. Arriving early she makes her way down to the luggage claim to take a seat and wait for Taiki's plane to arrive.

It's beginning to look a lot like spring in New York, the temperature is mild and while the sky is overcast it isn't raining. Yet. As long as it doesn't start raining everything will be fine. At least that's one of the things that should not happen in order for everything to be fine. Ordering a cup of coffee at the Starbucks kiosk she watches luggage rolling in and then scans the crowd for Taiki, thankfully he's tall and she's short.

However she doesn't remember him being that skinny. He ( ... )

Damn straight, Aneki knows best!

"If you could keep your senses open while you're around, and if you feel anything strong. Just let me know. He is getting closer." Which is all very cryptic and shit but she is at a loss as to how else to put it. Please be on the look out for anyone who feels like they either want to kill me or fuck me or a combination of both. The taxi is making it's turns, pulling away from the traffic, they'll be there soon.

Her aura pretty much says it all, likely! Taiki nods slowly, turning this over in his mind. He'll make sure to pay attention. ...Though he should probably stop self-medicating. Whether this thought will actually occur to him or not is anyone's guess. He takes this very seriously but he's also not in the best frame of mind. Perhaps after the current set of drugs cycling through him wears off and he eats something and realizes that Lisbeth will not lock him in her upstairs room, then he will calm the fuck down and start behaving like a rational being.

When the taxi pulls up Taiki pops open the door, checking traffic before sliding out. He'll offer to pay before collecting his bags.

He thinks Lisbeth is going to lock him in the upstairs room? Why does he think that, she's never locked him up anywhere before. Though there was that one time where there were a few close calls in being napped by the Swepan rent-a-cops. It was good times, though Taiki probably didn't think so. Still, she's not about to lock him up anywhere, unless he's detoxing and she needs to keep him away from the drugs. Bobby has a lot of drugs for his headaches.

She pays for the cab and slips out of the cab before shutting the door with her him and moving to wait for Taiki. They are in front of a row of very narrow row houses, they all pretty much look the same, little paths leading from the sidewalk up to porches. Bobby's house is three stories, first floor is living room and kitchen, second floor is bathroom and bedroom and third floor is the study (guest bedroom) and bathroom as well. When he has his bags she unlocks the door and deactivates the alarm and holds the door open for him.

Just a passing thought. He's been a little stressed over this trip and seeing her again. It's easier to just run off to Mexico and live there forever...

Taiki follows her through, moving just inside the house so he's out of Lisbeth's way while she works with doors and alarms and technology. He glances around just enough to get his bearings -- home decor doesn't really interest him. And he would really like that coffee.

He wants that coffee and she wants something to eat it all works out in the end. "Put your things down and we can go," she nods figuring that he probably doesn't want to haul that shit up two flights of stairs right now. The house is plainly decorated, lived in, but not a whole lot of personal items laying around.

She punches in another code to the system and moves to step back outside again so they can eat.

Taiki obeys, pulling the luggage off to the side and out of the way. It wouldn't be nice to trip anyone up -- and he has no idea where the other resident may be. In a flash he transfers the heavy, unnecessary items out of his leather messenger bag. It's slung over his shoulder and he quickly follows her back out.

Locking the door all over again she pockets the keys and heads back out to the sidewalk. "I don't have any set plans for us," she reaches into her pockets for her cigarettes. Finding one she puts it between her lips and then reconsiders and puts it back - the walk is too short.

"I just wanted to see you."

O-oh. Taiki glances at her from his peripherals. There is a long pause while he digests that. Black eyes slide back down to the sidewalk, staring out just in front of them.

"...It is fine. We always manage to find something."

"It's a great big city out there for us to terrorize. Think of all of the lions we haven't let out of their cages." Though if they were caught hiding in a museum this time around they would probably be arrested instead of just chased out.

There is a slight smile when she says this, keeping her eyes straight ahead of her. The breakfast diner is right up across the street at the corner, she points to it as they walk toward it.

"I think we will have to do more for excommunication." He replies, glancing over his shoulder at traffic. They were terrorizing Swepan by the age of six (and a half) -- surely a genius hacker and a psychic can find trouble fairly quickly.

They cross the street and he holds the diner door for her. This seems somehow familiar... "I do not have any more knife tricks." Speaking of trouble.

"We will set gay lions on the pope, these gay lions will be having safe sex." What else do Catholics disapprove of? She's pretty sure that setting lions on a pope will get her in a lot of trouble though if the pope is dead he can't excommunicate you so there's a bit of a catch 22. Still they should be taking this excommunication thing very seriously.

Stepping into the diner she takes a look around the place before moving to one of the seats toward he back. "I liked your knife trick."

He... doesn't... actually have an immediate response for that. There is a mental image of two lions practicing safe sex while standing on the Pope. "Would he be excommunicated for participating in homosexual bestiality voyeurism?" Taiki asks, sliding in the seat opposite her.

Two nearby ladies glance up at him, startled.

This isn't exactly breakfast talk but Lisbeth chortles in amusement not only of his words but by the look the ladies give him. They can fuck off, Lisbeth doesn't really care what anyone else thinks of them. "I believe the Catholic church takes a very firm stance in the papacy taking part in those kinds of behavior."

The waitress sets menus down in front of each of them, they serve the usual breakfast fare with coffee and danishes.

"F...or or against?" He peers at her, straight-faced. It's difficult to know if he's joking or not.

Taiki thanks the waitress and looks over the menu. Initially he just wanted coffee but since Lisbeth is hungry, he is as well. He'll orders a ration of toast and two poached eggs to go with his caffeine this morning. Sitting back, Taiki slides his menu away once the decision is made.

"It depends if they get caught or not." Sadly this is probably more of a fact then a joke though she means it as one.

Lisbeth orders what she generally does, breakfast sandwich on a bagel, egg cheese, sausage and and this time a coke instead of coffee. Handing the menu back over to the waitress she nods her thanks. Mmm breakfast of champions.
