Factoids about the Rust Point anonymous April 6 2006, 18:05:35 UTC
One thing AK didn't mention was that the canopies can come in and out depending on the weather. (Kind of like the roof at Safeco Field in Seattle). Finished price, $497,000 However, an engineering flaw caused the canopies to stick the first time they were retracted and had to be fixed at a price tag of something like $150,000.

Problem two, if the city is not diligent in retracting the canopies, (and even if they do) the intersection that it sits above gets incredibly icy, and then gets no sun to beat it off. (Because in Montana, it rarely rains straight down, in fact sometimes, it snows UP!)

Don't even get me started about the downtown Billings Christmas decorations!

You know, for what it's worth, I have to say that is a pretty spectacular image.

Every town has their focal point to draw in visitors... but usually they focus on one area when they should focus on it int he greater scheme.

They're finally starting to that here where I am. And how many years did we have to wait?

Like 10+ years.

I'm sorry it dumped water on you :(

Sheesh.
