Anyone see the series finale for Leverage?

I think I've seen just about every episode of Leverage over the years, but there's something from the finale that I don't get, so I have a question:

[Spoiler (click to open)]What exactly are Sterling and Nate even on now?  And do you think Sterling was in on it the whole time, or did he just realize it towards the end

Maybe sterling felt bad for taking nate's job? Getting him fired? Wasn't there also something where sterling was dating nate's ex? Or was that a scam they ran? Or, was sterling working for the insurance company that refused to pay for his so n's experimental surgery

There were a lot of things that Sterling and Nate had between them, but I thought this might be for something specific. But maybe not. Although, I am not sure why Sterling would think he owed Nate... wait. Wasn't there an episode about Sterling's daughter? Was that the debt?

The dream thing was weird. I never noticed that Sophie was pregnant -- isn't that nuts? I am a prime gullible viewer, I guess.

As for other people, they did have folks who stood in temporarily, I just wasn't sure they would have permanent members, which could be a trust issue, given how often things went a bit wrong during a job, you know?

I was also glad it got a chance to close out the way the show folks wanted. I hate when that doesn't happen for a show that's been on for a while.

I think Sterling and Nate finally came to an understanding about what it is that Nate does now and just gave into the idea that there are bigger things that catching bad guys.

I had a brainstorm while typing my reply to Maria's comment -- wasn't there an episode that involved Sterling's daughter in some fashion? It seemed like the general POV stuff wouldn't really constitute an uneven relationship to Sterling, but maybe owing for the daughter would. I still wonder if he was in on it from the beginning, or if he just caught on as it went.

I think it was more that Sterling caught on as he and Nate were together, but I could be wrong.
