 So I may have gotten a little stuck and frustrated on Velvet Petals and possibly I wrote a horrible trope-riddled cliched joke of a parody fic in order to get over it.

I'm a TWoP lurker! I used to be registered WAY back in the day before they did the big system switchover and never bothered to re-register. TWoP is my other source of DECENT fic, because the forum posters there seem pretty discerning most of the time and the recommendations are fairly reliable.

And I did refer to him as the countertenor at least once! Like I could leave that out. :)

I think I'm unstuck. I'm going to sleep on the chapter and work on it more tomorrow. It's not far from finished, I'm just having some trouble ensuring that I'm not dumping too much information into it while also not leaving OUT too much. I didn't outline this quite as carefully as I thought I had...little review work is in order. But I am so happy you love it and I will get back to it! Thank you for commenting on this little crackfest!

AH HA. I thought that sounded familiar when I read it (and blushed furiously - thank you - Blairish, I take it?)!

I was reading recaps when it was MBTV, but didn't lurk forums until it was TWoP, and then I think in 2004 or 2005 they did a big forum software change or upgrade? That's when my account disappeared - I never remembered the PW anyway and I was so sick of American Idol by then that I let it go.

I love TWoP. So much. My favorite recap will ever be Wing Chun's EPIC recap of "Center Stage" in the "The OC" recaps sections. "The bitchy apple doesn't fall far from the nasty cooze of a tree" is pretty much the best line written in the history of ever.
