Which was obviously why inviting Droll over to gamble was a very good idea! It was going to be a great deal of fun. Well, whenever his other self got there. Not that he was complaining! He was alright with waiting, he knew that the Droll would be there. He just kept cutting the deck of cards (which were actually just cards) he had gotten out, repeatedly shuffling them so that it would be nice and even ( ... )

Deuce got a friendly wave and a chirpy, "Hi!" right back. Like looking in a mirror! ... A colorful mirror with a delayed reaction time. Or something.
Upon entering, he regarded the deck scattered on the ground with curiosity.
"... There are cards all over your floor!"
You know. Just in case Deuce hadn't noticed.

"That means we have to play 52 pick up!" Deuce explained, moving over toward the cards and beginning to pick a few of them up. He had only collected a few of them before he suddenly paused and stood ram rod straight. He had forgotten something! "Um, that means that we have to pick up the cards!" He glanced toward the side, thinking about how to explain this better. "And there are 52 of them!"
Yes, that was the best explanation.

Droll stands back for a moment, watching Deuce and taking a few moments to let his words sink in, before smiling brightly. "Oh! That makes sense!" Gosh, 52 pick up sounded like a nice game. Deuce had obviously thought of everything!
He bent over to pick up a card, looking it over curiously.
"We just pick them all up, right? I think that's something that'll be easy to remember!" A terrible memory ruined plenty of games. Like when you forgot you were playing Blackjack fifteen minutes in, and somehow wound up under the impression that you had been playing Go Fish. That happened sometimes, right?
