That was quite a satisfying weekend. I made a solemn vow to sleep in on only one day this weekend. It didn't happen, I slept in twice, but still... progress made.

On Saturday, I had something going on with my back. I was on my feet for eight hours and about three hours in, my back started cramping up. The cramps were there, but they don't really stop you from doing anything - not that I could have just stopped in the middle of a work day and laid down - they're just uncomfortable. So I persevered.

Our bathroom ceiling leak is back and the bathroom window is starting to make moves away from the rest of the bathroom wall. It isn't falling out, yet. We'll have to have someone look at the whole thing once we thaw completely. For now, the ice dam is wrecking a very small part of our roof. Grr.

Jeez, I really hate to stick up for Sarah Palin, because nearly everything that comes out of her mouth is daft.

But Sarah Palin can't be blamed for inciting violence. There are 310 million people in the US. The map of the US constituencies that she was "targeting" came out last March. If, in 10 months, her imagery incites 1 person out of 310 million ( Read more... )

Every Tuesday, we order food for between 4 and 10 people. There have been rare exceptions, when we've eaten chili or pizza or something, but pretty much for years, game night is when we order out.

With increasing regularity, I'd say from 75% to 95% in the past months, we order Chinese food from Fresh Wok. Fresh Wok isn't the closest Chinese delivery ( Read more... )

I figured I would have some time to clean up in the kitchen while I was cooking this weekend, but instead I ended up cooking a bunch of stuff while cleaning and never really made headway with all the dirty dishes.
