eh, the story sucks. i've always said the plot of the great gatsby is like the OC of the 1920's. Bored rich people with problems. I just can't identify with the disillusionment. But the language fitzgerald uses makes it all worth it.

thank you, that's more or less why i gave up halfway through, because well for hum class i'm not really reading to appreciate the poetic sense of the work, just wanna know what happens so i can pass the quiz and whatnot
