I love your icon! Who can't relate to that strip? I thought she nailed it with "The Four Levels of Social Entrapment" too. :)

Right? That particular strip hit the nail on the head. And I really think this image *points to icon* is really fitting for LiveJournal these days, at least if my flist is anything to go by.

Everyone is fleeing the field! I think it's because we don't really have a fandom to unite us anymore. I tend to stay in fandoms longer than I probably should, but most other people tend to lose interest quite quickly.

I think my flist was so cohesive for so long because we went from Buffy to VM to Supernatural (well, some anyway), but now there's no unifying fandom to make people stick around.

Oh, can you recommend any Swedish YA Fantasy books? I'm trying to improve my Swedish and reading books I'm actually interested in makes it so much easier!

Well, I only really read books in English these days (unless the author is Swedish). The only ones that come to mind are Astrid Lindgren's books. They're a bit more geared towards children than young adults (I'd say 10-13, maybe), but they're really good. The ones that would fit your criteria would probably be Bröderna Lejonhjärta, Mio min Mio and Ronja Rövardotter (though I've never read that last one, so I might be wrong about that).

Jems! Thank you so much for linking that Purpleturtle etsy shop! I was looking for a whistle charm that I like to represent all my years of lifeguarding and they have a perfect one. Eeeee.

I saw that one! I thought they had a lot of fun stuff, but not many of them with particular meaning for me, so there weren't many more I want to buy.

I think my mom got the name from a German actress or something? It's not a common name in our family (thought it's Finnish on my father's side) or in Sweden in general. And even though it's my first name, I've never been called it (though my mom tried to get me to change Jennifer to Minna when I started school and I REBELLED. I don't know what she was thinking, what child wants to change her name at six?)

There were some fun questions in this meme that I don't usually see in these kinds of memes, but there were some WTF?! ones as well.

Heh, this is such a random meme that I fancy doing it too! There are some interesting and unusual questions in it as well.

It was really random, right? And some questions were really WTF?! And probably only interesting because the person who thought them up had an unusual answer to it.
