Epiphany is just like any other day...

...except you get to have the day off. So I took a drive and ended up at Drottningholm. ( I parked, grabbed my camera and went for a walk. )

I reached well over 1,000 episodes watched last year, I can't imagine what number I will reach this year with all the TV on DVD I received for Christmas :P Trust me, you don't realize how much TV you're watching until it's in a glaring list in front of you. I actually couldn't believe how much I watched last year LOL I didn't know whether to be ashamed or proud :P

Right now I'm watching a bit more than usual because I've become obsessed with Grand Designs, but I do watch a lot of TV. Just Jon and Stephen is eight episodes a week.

I didn't know whether to be ashamed or proud :P
Haha, yeah, I know what you mean.

I'm up to 37 episodes. Of course, I readily admit I have no life ;)

And those pictures are amazing.

Well, that I'm not going to come close to! I've only worked two full days this year so far, so I might slow down, but yesterday I worked almost until midnight (though the evening was mostly about emailing and waiting for emails) and I still managed to watch about six episodes. And I don't even dare imagine what will happen if I find a new fandom!

That's pretty much what happened - I got into 30 Rock - and sitcoms are EASY to watch a ton of. And I have a few more shows planned! Tho hopefully I'll have a new job soon.

I downloaded about fifteen new seasons between Christmas and New Years (not even exaggerating because I grabbed all ten seasons of Stargate SG-1) and I've only managed to watch Grand Designs so far.

I feel the same way about LJ fic! I've been going back and trying to backup old bookmarks with delicious (while saving them elsewhere also), and a lot of my VM favorites are unfortunately already gone. I was very bummed to find one of my all-time favorite VM ones was gone, actually. I hate it when that happens!

Ugh, doesn't it just suck? And in the VM fandom, almost all the fic was centered on LiveJournal. At least with other fandoms, there are archives.

What fic was it? I'm almost afraid to ask and find out what fic has disappeared into the ether.

I believe it was one of my favorite Lilly fics, "we remember our bedrooms". Whatever it was, it was one that had stuck in my head enough that I had a "NO!" moment when I realized it was gone.

If it was "we remember our bedrooms", you can find a Google cache of it here.

Now you have me thinking....

I've watched 2 seasons of Big Love (24), 2 seasons of Sports Night (44), so that's 68. But Sports Night is half-hour, so it's easier.

Catching up on Chuck today, I've seen 6 eps.

Holy. Crap.

Well, I guess I just have to bow down to the master and call it a day. Is that your regular speed or did you have days off and free time that you usually don't? Because at that rate, you'd watch 4000 episodes in a year. (HOLY. CRAP.)

Oh, I'm still not working. I stopped working a few years ago when my health took a nosedive, and am just now back to speed after recovering from the surgery to fix it!

Honestly, I wasn't even able to watch this much for a while - too many drugs in my system, too much ouch before they fixed me up, and just an awful lot of sleeping during recovery :D

This won't continue if I manage to get myself back into the workforce. But dang, could I have PICKED a worse time to re-enter? I have awesome timing - worst recession in decades! *grin*

I am VERY VERY LUCKY. Scott's job allows me to not HAVE to work. But I want to start again.

One thing I'm doing now is working to get my skills back up to par - learning more coding, studying languages to have more marketable things to put on the resume, etc. And in between, I watch tv. *grin*

Oh right. You know, I don't think I've ever seen you mention specifically that you were home, so I just wasn't sure. But still, 12 episodes a day seems like A LOT to me.

Though I think it's because I've never really counted how much I watch before, because I've been maintaining about six episodes a day with absolutely no problems. So maybe this exercise will pull the wool from my eyes, especially about how much media I consume myself. I mean, considering my work basically consists of watching TV, you'd think I'd be too sick of it when I quit for the day. But not so much, as it turns out. *goes off to watch another episode*
