Dearest Friends List, I need your Help!

Have any of you ever been to and/or live in Washington, Oregon, or California? My mom, sister and I are going on a road trip there, in August and we're looking for things to do. So, if you know of anything interesting in any of these states (cities, beaches, shops, anything) feel free to suggest it. ^_^

Mahahaha! Great minds think alike. However, I'm not a fan of disneyland. It's expensive, and the physical manifestation of everything corporate america. *is sorry for going all political on your ass...it just happens sometimes. I'm like the Hulk, except not quite as green*

A scenic drive along the CA coast and a charming little town close by: 17 Mile Drive and Carmel.

Monterey Bay Aquarium, CA

It's breathtakingly beautiful.

Mystery Spot, Santa Cruz, CA

Gravity-defying weird.

Santana Row, San Jose, CA
Posh, European Shopping Village. It's lovely to walk around. (Go for the atomsphere, not the overpriced merchandise :)

Wow, thanks so much! That's really quite useful, actually. I'll relay the information to my mom. She was really looking forward to seeing the coast, so she'll be happy for this info.

I love San Fransisco, I've been there three times this year, and I live about four hours away. The beaches here are lovely, as well. I particularly love Cambria, it's a small town that's near San Luis Obisbo and Monterey Bay, so you're close to some of the main towns but a little removed at the same time. :)

Awesome, I would ask you to go out for coffee or something (because how often do you meet one of your eljay friends, really) but that would seem a little stalkerish, seeing as we just met. ^_^

Thanks for the suggestions, though! I'll relay the information to the parental unit.

*grin* I met one of my online friends in San Francisco before. (ugh, and I apologize about the typo in the name in the first comment, I always do that) We'd known each other for about three years, though. :P But I'd definitely love to someday!

I hope you have a wonderful time. :D

my family and i go down through washington to oregon all the time

BUT WE NEVER DO SHIT

so i can't really help you

wait, actually, i lied. on whidby (whidbey?) island in washington there are two old army bunkers from WWII when we thought the japanese were going to hit us like they hit 'murica. VERY cool. the first one is called Fort Ebey (Ebie?) and it's pretty much just a tunnel that smells like urine overlooking the ocean (but very creepy and echoey) but the other one at Fort Casey is a giant fortress like structure, indescribably tubular. fun fact: grace nearly got into a gang fight at Fort Casey with girls at least six or seven yeras older than her. she was prepared to kick ass.

and there's always long beach in washington, if you're into beaches. bonus: there are often dead animals washed up on shore. yay!
