....Aaaaah I think you've made me cry. In fact, you have. This was so beautifully touching, and although I hate to think of the two separated by something such as death this would be the way I would hope it goes.

Thank you for the kind comment! I'm happy that it had such an impact on you... and yeah, while it's clear that the series is going to stay within bounds of Natsume's teenage years, and it breaks my heart to think of his eventual death, I always felt that the concept of death was constantly hanging around him. It makes me sad, but I think that he'll face death with equanimity and that Madara will move on but remember him, always, so I was hoping to portray that.
