Chapter 5
“So let me put this in dumbass terms. Bam’s the guardian of the gods and to connect to you Ville, the god of dark love, and the creatures of the dark and the light Bam has to have his voice which that fucked up chick stole off him and has hidden?” Ryan asked, looking around until his eyes finally landed on Lindé, who had done immense research on this.
The group had returned to the castle and everyone was still slightly shocked Bam wasn’t talking anymore. My werewolf was lying across the sofa, his head on my lap as he quietly dozed, apparently to recover from the transformation.
“That’s about it, yep.” Lindé replied, I looked out the large bay window and sighed, if Lindé was right Bam needs to get his voice back before something terrible happens...
“So, what do we do to find Bam’s voice? And what does he exactly say to summon these... creatures?”
“He summons us and other vampires and werewolves Dico. And what Bam says to summon us is something only Bam knows. And how to finds Bams voice, I don’t know we’ll have to research into that.” I stood up and rested Bams head on the pillow.
“There’s bound to be something in the library upstairs.” I stated, Ryan and Lindé nodded and stood up to follow me, while everyone went downstairs to look through old and tattered books that Bam chucked down in the basement.
I flicked through the pages and sighed, finding nothing about Bams other side.
A small thud and white paws blocked my view from reading and I looked up to see Bams blue ocean eyes. I was still not used to seeing white instead black fur of my lover’s wolf side.
“What are you doing up? You’re supposed to be resting.” I asked quietly, Bam turned his head away and got off the table and onto the floor next to me. He tugged my trouser leg and I frowned.
“You want me to follow you?” Bam nodded and did a little spin as I got up and followed him through the house. Ryan poked his head out and frowned, I shrugged lightly and the blond wolf followed me as well as Bam began to run across the 14 acre land and into the woods beyond. Me and Ryan following closely behind.
I followed Ryan quietly; the sky above us was now shrouded by the overgrown trees above. We had long lost sight of Bam, but the scent of the silent wolf was still strong enough for Ryan to follow it thankfully. Wherever Bam had headed he was probably there now.
“If Bam knew where his voice was, then why didn’t he go look for it?” I shrugged and remained silent. I didn’t know why Bam hadn’t gone after it. But I had some theories to that. One of them stuck out the most and I would have the same problem if I was in his shoes.
“Maybe he was afraid, I mean, Lindé said something about a war if Bam had his voice and when he gets it back it will be more inevitable.” Ryan frowned and looked over his shoulder at me. He didn’t seem to understand so I put it lightly, Bam always said you couldn’t complicate things for the blond werewolf.
“What would you do if you had an ultimatum? Your voice or war? Losing your friends and the one you love in front of you and being unable to help them? Or sacrificing you to save them and make sure they lived?”
“Will that happen to Bam? If he got his voice back he would die?” I shook my head, trying to deny that fact not only for Ryan, but for myself.
“No Ryan, but you can’t make any promises in war. You know Bam, he would do anything to make everything is perfect and everyone is happy and well.” Ryan nodded and slowed down; I stopped behind him and saw, or rather heard, somebody was up ahead.
We crept closer to the side and I blinked when I saw Bam, he was on the ground probably unconscious and something had slipped away, the water in the river near Bam glittered and glowed. It started to overflow, splashing against Bams lifeless body. The glittery blue clung to Bams white fur, seeping into his white coat as the wings started to reform on his back and he started to become the beautiful angelic wolf that appeared in the throne room returned. I couldn’t help but smile.
Blue eyes opened and the white wolf sat up, shaking his body, Bam howled loudly and the blue flame engulfed his body once more, turning into a glowing shield.
Bam turned to us and grinned wolfishly; I stepped out and wrapped my arms around his huge neck, feeling safety and the pure energy run through him.
“Let’s save the world.”
