Chapter 19

Ville (POV)

The car ride home was…loud. To say the least. I couldn’t believe Bam actually had the audacity to snoop through Alexi’s room like that. Poor Alexi. He seemed so embarrassed walking in on us like that. For the remainder of the evening he wouldn’t look me in the eyes. He even turned down the offer to play some of his new songs. After dinner I thanked Mrs. Laiho for inviting us over and dragged Bam out to the car. So now here we are, screaming our lungs out to each other.

“How the fuck could you humiliate me like that!?” I shout for the fourth time since we’ve been in the car.

“I did not embarrass you.”

“You molested me on my student’s bed!”

“You didn’t have to kiss me,” he defends.

“Your stupid ass wouldn’t let me up unless I did.”

“Oh whatever Ville,” he says as he rolls his eyes. God, I would love to gauge them out right now. “You could’ve pushed me off if you wanted to.”

“Have you gone blind? I’m small and you had a lot of weight pressed down on me; I could barely move.”

“So what, now I’m too fat for you?”

“What!?” I scream. Seriously, where the hell did that come from?

“Sorry that I’m not slender like your little teacher’s pet, Alexi,” he mocks.

“Stop talking like that!” I’m getting sick and tired of his accusations. If he weren’t driving, I probably would’ve attacked him by now.

“You know its true.”

Not knowing how to reply, I did the only thing I could; I let out a few heavy grunts before pulling my hair and screaming in frustration. My outburst causes Bam to swerve, almost hitting an oncoming car. This of course lead to more screaming and fighting until Bam had finally parked the car in front of the apartment building.

Bam quickly turned off the car, got out, and slammed the door behind him. Bam didn’t even spare a second glance as he walked towards the building. Shit, things are worse than I thought. Normally, he would open my door and we would walk in together. Growling, I punch the dashboard and climb out of the Hummer. I get up to the main door just in time to see Bam enter the elevator and close the door.

Fucking asshole! He has no right to be angry with me right now. I make my way up the stairs, cursing in my native tongue as my neighbors give me strange glances. Once I reach the door to my apartment, I go to turn the knob, but my face flushes red with anger when I find that the door is locked. Bastard knows that I lost my key and we don’t have a spare. Gritting my teeth to keep from screaming, I furiously punch the door.

“Bam open the fucking door!” I scream through the oak. I wait a few moments for no reply.

“Open the door right now!” He still doesn’t answer. Damn it! I don’t want to have to call the Super to open the door. “Bam!”

Finally, I hear the rattle of the chain lock and the click of the knob. The door opens about a centimeter before I burst through, slamming it loudly behind me.

“What the fuck was that!?” I scream, turning to face him.

“What?” He shrugs. “I forgot that you lost your key.”

“Liar!”

“Whatever,” he sighs. He moves to walk past me, but I grab his arm and turn him to face me.

“What the hell is your problem!?”

“You, Bam Margera. You are my fucking problem!”

“I didn’t do a damn thing,” he defends.

“You dug through Alexi’s room, looking for evidence to support your paranoia. You humiliated me Bam!”

“I’m not paranoid!” He shouts. “I know I’m right. I’m sorry that you’re just to blind to see it.”

“You are not right! You are just being a jealous, childish asshole. When are you going to grow the fuck up!?”

“If I’m so childish, then why the hell are you with me?”

“Honestly,” I sigh, letting go of his arm. “I don’t know anymore.”

“W…what are you saying Ville?”

As I open my mouth to answer him, I hear a loud crash at the door. Bam and I whip our heads towards the entrance to see a clearly drunk Novak stumble through the doorway. Now how the fuck did he get in?

“Yo, what’s up assholes,” he slurs.

“Novak,” Bam starts. “Now is not a good time.”

“What? Were you two about to fuck or something?” Novak smiles. Psh…he wishes.

“No,” I sigh. “In fact Bam was just about to pull out the sofa bed.”

“You’re letting me spend the night? Aww…I didn’t know you cared Zilla Zalo,” Novak laughs, coming forward to hug me. With a grimace on my face, I push him away. Bam catches him before he hit’s the floor and shoots me a dirty look. I glare right back at him, a silent challenge for him to say something. Thankfully for him, he chooses to stay silent and attend to his friend.

“Novak, you should probably leave.”

“Why? And what crawled up his ass,” he asks, pointing in my direction.

I had hoped that Bam would let it go and force his friend to leave, but unfortunately, luck was not on my side. With a glint of evil in his eyes, Bam began to go into detail the events of the night, twisting everything around to make it appear that I was the one in the wrong.

“You were in Alexi’s room!” Novak shouts with interest.

“Yeah,” I answer for Bam. “He was tearing the room apart while Alexi was downstairs.”

“Dude, I wish I could have been there!” Novak says, completely ignoring my words. “Man, Alexi is so sexy! Weird, that rhymed….Anyway, what was it like. Were there any pictures of me?”

“No, Novak,” I say exasperated. “Alexi is in a relationship with Lauri.” I explain, looking in Bam’s direction. He rolls his eyes at my statement and pulls Novak towards the door.

“God, next time you’re there, steal something of his for me. Like a picture or something.”

“No,” Bam says.

“At least get me the dudes number,” he begs.

“I don’t think he would appreciate the phone rape,” Bam laughs.

“And I’m really certain that he didn’t appreciate what went on in his room,” I mutter.

Bam shoots me another evil glare over his shoulder as he manages to push Novak out of the doorway. Novak tries to come back in, but Bam is able to close and lock the door before he makes it. Once his friend is safely outside of our apartment, Bam turns to face me, opening his mouth like he has something to say. Before he can make anymore accusations though, I cut him off.

“I’m going to bed. I have to get up early tomorrow.” I turn and head down the hallway towards my room. There is a moments silence before I hear Bam coming up behind me. Before he can get into the room though, I slam the door in his face, quickly locking it.

“Ville,” Bam calls. I ignore his cries though and begin to undress. “Ville, let me in.”

“Sleep on the couch Bam. There’s blankets and a pillow in the hall closet.”

“Baby…please,” Bam calls once more.

“Goodnight Bam.” Letting a tear slide down my cheek, I crawl into bed and turn out the light. Clutching a pillow to my chest, I let out a tired sigh and close my eyes. I hate sleeping alone.

Bam (POV) one of the few time you’ll see it

I can’t believe he kicked me out of the room. Sure, he’s threatened it many times before, but he’s never actually done it. I tried knocking on the door a few times, then pounding it, and finally kicking it, but still Ville wouldn’t answer. Sighing in defeat, I give up my struggle and go to the closet for the extra blanket and pillow.

As I make out the sofa-bed, I began to ponder my situation. Was I wrong to do what I did? No…of course not. I’ve seen how Alexi looks at Ville, it’s the same look I used to give him. Ville is just to blind to see it. He’s too caught up in being ‘Teacher’s Aid of the Year’ to see the truth dangling in front his face. But then again, I didn’t have to go looking through the kid’s room (although I did find an article of clothing that looked suspiciously like Ville’s missing scarf). I could’ve just confronted Alexi…or at least waited until he wasn’t home to look through his shit.

Something’s just not right with that kid; I can feel it. Sure, I’ve never really been a good judge of character, but I’ve been picking up some bad vibes from him. The way he got so angry that first night when I jumped on Ville, the suggestive remarks he made at the mall, and of course the over friendly gestures he made tonight at dinner. Sure, I may be going a little crazy here, but I think I have every right to be. I don’t want to lose Ville. He’s the love of my life. I know that if I were ever to lose him, I would never find another that would make me feel the way he does. I…I just can’t lose him.

As if a light bulb was lit in my head, I was struck with a brilliant idea. Scrambling over to the phone, I grab Ville’s little black book. Flipping through the pages, I finally find the number I was searching for. Grabbing my cell phone, I inwardly groan at the thought of how high my phone bill is going to be. Deciding that it was for the best, I quickly dial the number. After a few rings, he finally picks up.

“Hei,” he greets.

“Jesse?”

“Yes, who is this?” He asks in broken English.

“Hey, this is Bam…Ville’s boyfriend.”

“Oh yeah, the one who cursed out Mom,” he laughs.

“Yeah,” I laugh nervously. “Sorry about that.”

“What can I do for you Bam? Is Ville alright?”

“He’s fine…but, this may seem a little weird, I need to ask you a favor.”

Alexi (POV)

The next day at school was somewhat awkward. In class, whenever Ville would smile at me, I would cast my glance downward. After class, he had tried to talk to me, inviting me out for a smoke at our usual spot, but I declined. Sure it was probably making him feel like shit, but I didn’t care. I was still pissed about what had transpired on my bed the previous night. Hell, I couldn’t even sleep on the damn thing, choosing instead to sleep on the couch.

The day did get better though. After school, I went with Lauri back to his house. He said that he had a little treat for me, something he said would “Make me happy in special places.” And he was right. The latest tape was that of a giant fight between Ville and Bam, ending in Bam sleeping on the couch. I couldn’t help the grin that spread across my face throughout the whole thing.

“Alexi your hair is so pretty,” Lauri says out of the blue. Well that was random. Turning to face him, I see that he has a handful of my hair in his hands, braiding it into to separate pigtails.

“Why are you braiding my hair?”

“I’ve already watched this episode,” he shrugs. “Besides, your hair is so silky that I had to play with it.”

“Whatever dude,” I say, taking my hair back. “How long do you think it will be until the ’site is ready?”

“Don’t doubt my computer skills, Laiho,” he smiles. “I should have it ready in a couple days.”

“Why are you in a general computer class?” I ask, laughing.

“Because they don’t have a class that can handle my genius,” he boasts.

“Well your version of genius is society’s version of insane.”

“Hey, one person’s insanity is another persons reality,” he retorts. “But, I’ve got to ask…don’t you think this is a little harsh? I mean, I know it was my idea to use the photo, but this seems like a little much.”

“Well, its just time to step up the game. You want them to break up don’t you?” He nods. “This is the perfect way to do it. It’ll also be a nice little way to punish Ville for what he did.”

Lauri doesn’t answer. Instead he rolls his eyes and begins to type away on his keyboard.

“So what should we call it?” He asks.

“Hmmmm….I don’t know. How about…‘Bam’s Playroom’?”

With an evil grin, Lauri types down the suggestion. It’s too perfect. Ville will have no choice but to leave him now.
