It was getting closer to Christmas now and waking up in the morning without Bam there, was very cold.
I whined softly as I slipped out of the bed and onto the carpeted floor, cold air attacking my naked torso. I grabbed the blanket that rested on the chair and pulled it around my shoulders in an attempt to keep warm.
I wandered out of the room, becoming slightly confused as I noticed that many branches of mistletoe hung in various places around the hall. It definitely wasn’t there yesterday…
I walked slowly through the halls and rooms in the house, Mistletoe was everywhere. This had to be one of Bam’s ideas.
I reached the doorway of the kitchen, just in time to see Bam attaching the final branch of the seasonal plant to the Fridge.
“Care to tell me what’s going on?” I said, my voice coming out deeper than normal due to a long cold night’s sleep.
Bam jumped, startled by my voice and me actually being stood in the doorway. I couldn’t help but smile.
“Um…” He muttered
“Why is there mistletoe everywhere?” I asked gesturing to the rotating ceiling fan that had one little branch of the plant hanging from each blade.
I noticed a slight blush creep into Bam’s cheeks as he walked towards me. He wrapped his arms round my waist, under the blanket that I still had round my shoulders. He smiled and looked up at me, his blue eyes taking me breath away.
“I just wanted an excuse to kiss you whenever I wanted” He whispered, pressing his lips against mine.
I laughed softly when we pulled away, “You’re a sap; you know that?”
“Yes, but I’m your sap” He replied grinning.
